Great dining experience in one of the coolest decorated restaurants around. The decor is that from the roaring 20s and 30s... period in Chicago and there are many sign, pictures and decor depicting that area, including a vintage, classic car hanging fromthe ceiling. I was recommended by a friend to check out this place while in Illinois... omg talk about a great place to eat. They were... literally making fresh Strawberry Shortcake while I was ordering. The bread is so fresh. I had 2 cheese dogs (I'm not supposedto tell anyone I added ketchup apparently people from Chicago will get upset if they know you put ketchup on Hot Dogs????) Theemployees there are all extremely helpful. Stop here if you are in Normal just like I am for the week ????. Read more

It was very good. I felt like we just missed the rush. Was there at 6:30pm, they were cleaning up tables and over flowing trash.... We had a table to sit at. When called to get food, a drink was missing. But was quickly corrected with a smile. The food wasgood as always. Read more

The Chicago dog and beef sandwich were excellent! They overcharged us (charged us for two hot dogs instead of one), but they... said it will be refunded to our account within a couple days. They also didn't give us any napkins. But still 5 stars for thefood. Read more
Really great atmosphere! Lot's of interesting things to look at. The food I ordered was way too greasy for me. On the menu it... looked like a great sandwich. What I got was almost completely submerged in grease. Just picking it up, my bread was disolvingin my hands. The bathroom was nice and clean though and my face and hands cleaned up fine. I'd definitely ask for a lessgreasy option next time. My wife went with a hot dog pictured here. She said it was good but the hot dog was actually cold. Not sure if it was supposed to be like that, but she ate it. The kids food was also pretty greasy and my daughter's sandwichbread was also disolving from so much grease. All the hype all these years and it was worth it!! So fun and good!! Service Staff was very friendly and helpful to us first... timers. Place was clean, the dining room spotless and the restrooms were stocked and clean too! Menu was big yet simple. Somany choices. Unfortunately on our visit the shake machine wasn't working and we heard how amazing the shakes were. Our groupgot the double cheese burger, the Italian meat sandwich, Chicago dog, chocolate cake, strawberry shortcake and drinks. GET THECHEESE SAUCE! Fed a group of 10 for $115 and we did not order light. Prices were good. Lots and lots of seating in otherrooms. Read more
