If you don't read a lot and you mostly focus on certain genre literature, Barnes & Noble may be able to serve you. If you read... voraciously, you are not likely to find anything in their store you have not already consumed. I hate to dis a bookstore, butthey're really a publishing House turned retail bookstore, and they only sell what they can make the most on. It's a shame thatthis is the last bookstore in existence in Oklahoma. Breaks my heart. The last time I was there I checked for all my favoriteauthors and some of them had no books there and others had one or two Mass market paperbacks, the cheapest, crummiest way toconsume literature. This seems counterintuitive, but if I cannot find it at Barnes & Noble I will find it online and I will buyit. The business model gives me no choice. They do still have some stationary and cards, and a nice selection of puzzles, but Iget the distinct impression they make most of their money on toys and gadgets rather than on books. What's not to like about Barnes and Noble? I love the coffee by Starbucks and their store memberships to save money. I always... find a good book to read and add to my ever growing print collection. But we have all got to use it or lose it. ;) Read more

Barnes and Noble have steeped up their game. This is a great family place. Something for everyone. Great coffee shop,... comfortable quiet corners to preview your selections, toys, gifts, electronics...all sorts of goodies. The Prices are a littlehigher, but it's worth for the value the store puts in. Read more
