Have not been here in years. I grew up blocks away. Meet a old friend from high school that I haven't seen in 40 years and was... celebrating my birthday. From the moment we walked in we were treated special. Even though the server was the only onethere, she was pleasant and attentive and very patient with all our questions. The manager or maybe owner checked in with us.We started out with a spinach egg drop soup. It was phenomenal! I believe there was couscous in there too. I got the porkmedallions with my sides of red cabbage and spaetzle. My friend got salmon with sourkrout. The pork was very tender andflavorful. The cabbage was cooked perfectly and the spaetzle was light. I tasted the sourkrout and it was outstanding. Wesplurged and had a dessert. The carrot cake was very good. This restaurant is authentic and a gem. They gave us a freedessert for my birthday and an apple shot for the celebration! Please support this establishment! Read more

The food was absolutely delicious, the service was absolutely friendly, and was worth the money. I went here in my birthday... with my family, and we enjoyed all that we ate. To an extent, we also ended up celebrating Oktoberfest along side mybirthday. On top of this, since the waiters and owners found out it was my birthday, they even gave me an apple strudel, andshots of Apple Brandy all on the house. I highly recommend Edelweiss if you want a good German experience. I am also happy to goback to spend my money at this restaurant as well! All worth it! Read more

If I didn’t know better I would have thought I was in Southern Bavaria Germany instead of Norridge, Illinois! Excellent, ... delicious and authentic German food. Not only did they have my favorite German beer “Spaten” they had the even betterSpaten Octoberfest” Authentic HUGE pretzels, fantastic food, live German band, lederhosen clad waitstaff, busboys withpersonality all together in a dining area decorated in true and authentic German style. And to top it off, a Manager named Mr.Greco who makes you feel appreciated, welcomed and wanting to return which of course we will! This restaurant gets my coveted5***** Star Pizzaman review! Bravo! What a great experience! From the moment I walked in it was flawless. Val was AWESOME and friendly and attentive. Always making... sure I was ok and didn't lack anything! This restaurant is authentically German with delicious cuisine and a fun environment. We ordered the pretzel, which was huge,... perfectly cooked, salted generously and accompanied by a really good honey mustard sauce and a beer cheese. My family demolishedthe pretzel and then ordered their meals. Everything came out quickly, cooked well, and piping hot. The staff was friendly andinformative, and the beer was great! Generous portion sizes for both food and drinks. Definitely recommend as a regular treat. Read more

The only fundamental problem with this place is, that’s it’s so far from my house! A family owned business with amazing... German dishes with great ambiance and decor. Everything is made fresh in house and it shows in the quality and spot on taste.The portion sizes were great, the cost was fair. Great place for German food! Love the wiener schnitzel and spaetzle... so good! Fun place to go during Octoberfest! The band,the... dancing,the singing. Friendly staff and owner. The restaurant was amazing. We had the Bavarian pretzel appetizer that came with the most delicious dipping sauces. The soups... were very robust and very filling. The main dish was absolutely superb with a healthy portion. Will be returning to this placein the very near future. Read more
