Great Ethiopian food and a big cosy bar if that's your thing right on Main st Pennsylvania
Up until I found Almaz Cafe going to the city was a requirement for Ethiopian food. No longer! Everything I've had here has... been delicious and the owners are very friendly. There are other non-Ethiopian choices, but seriously that is what you shouldcome here for. The actual location is less than inspiring, and the music can be loud (which if asked kindly might be able to beadjusted). Over all though, I will keep going back. Read more

My first time having Ethiopian food. Went with a party of 6. We all really enjoyed our meals! Had the fried pickles as an app... and they were awesome! Bartender/Waitress was very nice and helpful. I'd definitely return. Hidden gem! Read more
The food was amazing! The owner is a chef, and quite personable. The Tilapia was sautéed, moist and juicy, seasoned to... perfection and served on a bed of rice with broccoli. The Mussels were highly recommended, by a friend, and were tender anddelicious as well. Also had fried colossal shrimp, also delicious. Reasonably priced, Happy Hour Specials Monday thru Friday5-7, downtown Norristown, just up from the courthouse. Pleasant crowd at the bar.
