We sat there for over 15 minutes without anyone taking our order. everytime she passed by i asked for a menu, and the waitress... completely ignored me everytime. We left soon after she attended to the people who had just arrived and sat right behind us. Idon't know if they acted that way because we are Hispanic but we felt very unwelcome. When we were seated we were pleased to see that there are plexiglass partitions between each booth. We like that as it feels... safer from Covid and other contaminates we might get exposed to in a public setting. I ordered broiled haddock and my husbandordered broiled stuffed haddock. Both dishes were quite good. I was disappointed with our server. We hardly saw her and had towait much longer than expected to get our drinks, then another long wait for our order to be taken. After we were finished withour meal we waited an extremely long time to get our check. Eventually a different server took care of it for us. We appreciatedher help. Our server finally entered the dining room where we were sitting as we were leaving but never acknowledged us orthanked us for coming. I used to be a waitress and trained the wait staff where I worked. Something I enjoyed very much. The clam chowder was not excellent as I expected based on the reviews. It was good, but not great. Prices were high, but I was... willing to pay for good seafood. It was definitely NOT worth the money. The fish and chips were good, but that was about allthat was good, and still not worth the money I spent on it. Coleslaw had good flavor, but the vegetables were minced instead ofshredded. I hate to leave bad reviews, but I feel I was misled by all they rave reviews. Came in while visiting family. I had the seafood casserole & dragonberry cocktail and shared a bowl of lobster bisque. The... lobster bisque was creamy, buttery and had plenty of lobter chunks in it. By far my favorite part of the meal. Seafoodcasserole included shrimp, scallops and stuffed crab in a garlic butter sauce. It had a bit too much stuffing for my taste,scallops were a tad bit over cooked and it could've used a bit more of the garlic butter sauce. The amount of seafood wasplentiful. The meal came with 3 sides(salad, veggie, potato) so you do get a lot of food for the price. If you like onion ringsdefinitely order them as an appetizer or as a side. The onions are thinly sliced, the batter is well seasoned and crisp. Itwasn't my favorite meal, but the other adults in our group enjoyed theirs. Our server was friendly. Read more
Would have gone 5 stars but for 2 issues. 1) prices are abit on the high side for casual family dining. 2) I ordered the... scallop dish which sounded delicious. First taste was excellent but then the extreme heat (spice) kicked in and completelyburnt out my taste buds. Worst part was that there was no mention of the spiciness in the menu description.
