I used to love the old Hot Dog Ranch for their hot dogs and cheesy tots, now I love the new one for their Mac and cheese bites... (the jalepeno ranch is really good!)/pretzels instead. We've gone three times since the place had a change in ownership, thestaff (our waitress was a blonde lady, I think her name was Ashley?) are friendly and I have no complaints there. My reasoningfor 4 stars instead of 5 is that the article that was released when new owners took over stated they were keeping favorites thesame, but the hot dogs themselves are definitely different. You can order their version of everything or the original Hot DogRanch version of an everything dog, but there are some differences in the meat and buns they use. Previously the dogs would havea "snap" to the casing and the buns were dense and made for a good mouth feel (I hate using that term, it sounds so weird.)Their hot dogs now are soft with no snap to them and the rolls are *very* soft and not as dense as before. This makes the hotdogs overall soft and squishy feeling and I really miss the snap/texture of the old fashioned hot dogs. If they changed back tothe original style I would definitely give them 5 stars. I've had HDR in Pittsfield since then and there is for sure adifference in what they use. It should be noted that there is also a price increase for all their food, before it would cost mearound 10 dollars for a meal and now it costs almost double for the same things. (Which, I wouldn't mind paying so much if thehot dogs were the exact same as before. Now I just don't get the hot dogs.) Still overall a good choice for lunch though! Read more

I was very aggravated when I put my 8 month old in one of the high chairs and he nearly fell out, from the strap that goes in... between the legs being stretched out. The high chairs seem to be from the previous owners which I?m sure have been there foryears. The food was great service was great. I highly recommend ordering some new high chairs as that?s a safety issue. Also asa kid friendly environment having no changing tables in the bathrooms was extremely difficult. Read more

Super friendly environment. Prompt food delivery. Witty banter. Sports on TV and a keno screen for those who play.

Staff is friendly and super helpful. Food came out fast and hot. Hotdogs are great and small enough you can have a bunch. Loved... the gravy fries and onion rings as well. Will absolutely be coming back. Read more
