They discontinued my favorite the pepper steak. Had burgers before, they were good. Last time burgers were half the size,... looked more like a slider Read more

We went on a recommendation, cuz I guess the place is pretty well known. We made it clear that we were first-timers because we... could see that they were very busy and we weren't going to know what we were doing, but they weren't particularly friendly. Thefood was just average in our opinion and the burgers and hot dogs were small, as in, I would rather pay more for one large hotdog than buy two small hot dogs that don't fit the bun, and I would rather have one larger burger than pay the same price fortwo smaller ones. The fries and onion rings were quite good though! Read more

We stopped by after hitting Mass MoCA. I got a chili cheese dog and cheese fries and my daughter got a dog and fries. The place... was definitely popular with locals and the prices were really good. The food was good and I especially liked the fries whichwere cooked well and flavorful. Would definitely go again if I was in the area. Read more

Steamed buns, fresh burger. Only complaint for me is toppings; no sliced onion and pickles. Only minced onion and relish (also... fresh). Didn't try a dog. Next time... Read more

Simple, delicious, not even remotely pretentious. Super friendly staff and straightforward comfort food (real cheezwiz!) Small... spot but if you can get a spot at the counter it's got quite the nostalgic feel. Read more

We came into town to see the fall colors and found Jack's on Yelp. Decided to swing by after checking it out there and on trip... advisor. The place is totally a hole in the wall (and the bathroom for sure is!) but you go here to get some great tasting, cheap food prepared by hard working, hustling humans. The prices couldn't be beat - $2.60 for chili cheese fries? A pulled porksandwhich for $3.00? A double double cheeseburger for $3.50? Me, the wife, our 6 year old and our 10 month old all feasted for$25. We got the meal to go ($25 for all of the above plus a hotdog, hamburger, fries, popcorn chicken, and onion rings and macn cheese) since there was no indoor seating and a limited amount of outdoor seating and took it to nearby (1.5 miles away)Historic Valley Park where there was a lake view and plenty of picnic tables plus a playground for the kid. Almost everythingwas great. Chili cheese fries were delicious and quickly consumed, onion rings were crispy and perfectly cooked, pulled porkdidn't skimp on the pork and came topped with an onion ring. The double double cheeseburger was like In-N-Out but better. Everything else was good - only downsides (minor) were the plain fries had been in the frier a little too long and were dark, and the hot dog was tiny. Fries were excusable as they were slammed the entire time I was there with multiple walk ins, delivery orders and take out orders. I was prepared to the small dog (and you should be also, order two or more). Definitelygive them a shot if you're passing through (if you're a local, it's already probably part of your routine!) - your stomach andyour wallet will thank you. Read more
