Hey I have been a fan of The Sub Place since thier original place of business on Algonquin Ave. I was very sad to see that this... gem had changed hands from the original owners. The restaurant may not have been anything spectacular to look at, but the foodwas always fresh, hot, generous portions and all around great quality. This was my first experience since since the previousowners have finally retired. I'm sad to say that I'm disappointed in my meal. I've never felt this way before about thisestablishment. I ordered my usual which is a gyro and a small poutine. The poutine was half the size it use to be, the gravytasted like canned gravy, the fries were under done and salty. My gyro was great tasty, the veggies were definitely fresh andcrisp but there was definitely less meat than there use to be. I did have a specific way I wanted my gyro prepared and they werespot on with this request. Absolutely Terrible Don't waste your money. Only get 2 little pieces of bacon on the 12 inch club, no sauce on the gyro and the... fries were barely cooked. Check the one 5 star review, the person has to get double extra sauce and triple extra olives then gohome and cook it. Haha that should tell you enough about this place. Read more

I've been in North Bay for 2.5 years and their gyro is the best thing I've eaten, anywhere, ever. I don't even care for lamb... much. It tastes so good. What I get is mild, extra extra sauce and extra extra extra black olives. I take it home and put it inthe oven at 350 for 12 minutes, on a pan with holes in it. It makes the shell firm and crispy. It's massive, it's heavier thanany fast food burger. The amount of meat in it is super hefty, it falls out, subway can't compete. It's also relatively cheap at$9.50. When people say they're visiting the city I recommend the trails and this gyro. The spicey gyro can be a little hot, trythe mild first. It surprises me that something so simple I find better than any fast food. I like to think about what this gyrowould do if sold from a food truck. Read more
Had the Gyro Pita with a fry, very reasonable prices very filling and super yummy food 10 will eat there again next time I'm in... the bay. Staff was also very friendly and attentive. Thank you for everything! Read more
We eat here at least once per month. If you like a good Gyros, this is the place to go. The food at The Sub Place is... exceptional! Very tasty and well prepared and you can chose among many menu options. I love the service at the place, sofriendly with the guests and they always takes care to offer the best quality!
