Just had the most amazing experience at Hilltop. There were 20 of us and it was perfect. Other places in town turned our large... party away but Hilltop made it work. Took my Mom out to dinner here, one of those just because I love her occasions. It had been almost 20 years since I had been... here but I remembered it was a good place for a sit down meal. The weather was great and the drive over from Roseburg was worththe effort. Mom had the Surf and Turf I had the Rack of Lamb. For appetizer we had the Crab and Artichoke dip. I had a tasteof Mom's New York Steak and wow, very flavorful. The Lamb was tender and perfectly seasoned. The garlic mashed potatoes was agood choice of side. The dinner salad's are worth a special mention. The cuccumbers, carrots were mildly pickled and thepepperincinis made the salad say, "Just wait till you see your entree." Best salad ever! If I had one criticism I blame myselffor not asking to have my blue cheese dressing for my salad on the side. For me amount was too generous and took away from thevery crispy freshness of the lettuce. From the moment we walked in we felt comfortable, the staff we met were pleasant andpersonable. I took my gf here and we ordered the shrimp cocktail, steak, chicken Alfredo, and chocolate cake. I got my steak medium rare and... it was delicious. My gf loved her chicken Alfredo and we both enjoyed the chocolate cake. Now the potatoes were my favorite,creamy savoury perfection. Where as my least favorite dish served were the vegetables. They did not taste fresh whatsoever morestraight out of the freezer into the microwave. Also I was not impressed with the cocktail I felt the shrimp were bland. Ourwaitresses we're efficient and courteous. I feel for the price they could do better but overall it was a good experience. Read more

Excellence in dining! This wonderful restaurant was recommended to us by a family member and I am so glad we went. The clam... chowder had huge clams! It was actually a clam chowder, not potato soup with some minced clam sprinkled in. A true delight! Ihad steak medallions covered in asparagus, crab, and a bearnaise sauce. It was truly to die for. Large lumps of crab made thisluxurious dish worth every penny. My husband had the rack of lamb. The lamb was delicious. The staff was kind and attentive. Awonderful experience and a beautiful view. I?ve been wanting to come here for a long time and we decided to celebrate the Independence Day holiday! Great place for a nice... date! We brought our family with a five and three year old. Place is located with a beautiful garden around it, lots ofgreenery, great view of the bay. Servers were nice. Great artichoke and crab dip, deep fried seafood sampler was good, calamariis long calamari steak-like strips, clam chowder is great with bacon in it, steak was nice and juicy and full of flavor and thehomemade bread served with an oil vinegar is delicious! Seafood sampler only comes deep fried. We ordered a little too muchfried food. Next time we will have to order something broiled or baked. This is not a place we can afford to go to often.Special steak and deep fried shrimp was $30. We spent just under $100. Read more
