I usually don?t review, and try not to eat at places with a bad rating. I went to a highly rated seafood restaurant in ny and... another in jersey. Maybe I?m just comparing it to New Orleans because I didn?t really enjoy either. They didn?t have thatamazing flavor or Cajun spice. Crab Du Jour Cajun crab, scallops, crawfish, shrimp, potatoes, and corn was really good. I?dprobably ask for even more Cajun on the side for the bottom of the boil lol. Damn that was good! If I could leave no stars, that's how I would rate this place. This place was beyond terrible. First let's start with false... advertisement. The place states that they have seafood boil, which in fact its a buffet ( in which even that was a stretch) thathas the Option for you to order seafood items off an additional menu. The "seafood boil menu" looked very sus and due beinghungry I didn't want to waste time and money. Decided to go with the buffet idea, (cause how could you mess that up) right, wellthis place found a way. Food was cold, dry and not fresh at all, the food didn't have any flavor and tasted like two day oldleftovers. The "butter" was legit oil. "Sushi" stale. After one plate I refused to eat anything else, I spoke to the personrunning the front who tried to lie and tell me they bought fresh food out, in which nothing had changed from the last 20minutes. My girlfriend and I were craving seafood boil and didn't want to drive all the way to the city for it, so we did some research... and came across Crab Du Jour. It was a little confusing finding the location since it is actually inside Hibachi Grill & SupremeBuffet, you just need to ask for the seafood boil menu. Staff was nice, but that really is the only good thing about thisplace. The seafood boil itself was pretty bad.... We ordered the family combo which came with 1lb snow crab legs, 1lb shrimp,and 1lb clams in the garlic butter sauce, medium spicy. There was no flavor at all and the clams tasted a bit rubbery... Some ofthem were not cleaned out properly so it was sandy as well. With french fries, a soda, tip, and tax, the total came out to about$65, which isn't terrible compared to other places. Very speedy. The fried scallops were a tad expensive and to be honest, I can get them for $5 at any local Asian take out place... and for a lot better quality. The fried pickles were AMAZING but the fried batter around the scallops just kept wilting andfalling off rendering the scallop tasteless. Read more
