I was a little nervous going in at first because I wasn't sure how me and husband would be received. I was not disappointed at... all. The reception was warm and welcoming. The food was FANTASTIC! The food was average to good. What I did not like was that they add the service charge and then are vague about it going to the... front of the house, which is what you would normally assume when you give a tip. But then they expect you to tip on top of that,which ok because the service charge I think was 12-15%, pretty low bar. But I asked the server and none of the tip goes to theback of the house. Which if I am going to tip on top of the service charge, I would expect back of the house to get apercentage, but no, it’s only additional tip for servers, hostess, etc. Felt kind of sleazy considering any additional tipjust goes to where you would normally expect a tip to go. If there was love for the back of the house, I would gladly tip wellwithout the sour taste in my mouth. Will not be returning. Read more
Dining experience phenomenal. Waiters and waitresses were great! Water was always being filled and food was always on the table.... All the food we had was great besides my entrée. Some of the shellfish was undercooked. Also the 20% gratuity is a littleconfusing. No one in my party knew if that was the tip or not the tip. Wish I took more pictures because the plating was great. Absolutely phenomenal experience for my husband and my anniversary dinner. The wait staff was kind and knowledgeable, the... atmosphere was great. It was a perfect balance of familiarity and novelty, delicious foods done in very adventurous ways. And Ilove how 20% is added to the bill to pay the staff a living wage, they really deserve it! Also very interesting that it is BYOB.Quite an overall fun and delicious experience. Will definitely be going back. Read more
Amazing place. This has to be the best restaurant my husband Peter Halley and I have been to for a while now. We cherish REALLY... amazing food (and we do get out to try to find it, I promise) meanwhile this is the place to go around Guilford and Branfordarea if you want EXCELLENT and scrumptious food - filled with Family owned charm, the knowledge of cooking and the love ofcooking - two very important parts of owning a five star restaurant. The owner Mr Rick McLain is also the head chef here in NBranford and was on tonight and boy are we and the others dining here tonight lucky. OUR meal: Our two starter salads wereperfect, I had the classic and Peter had the wedge = AMAZING hello. Then we had 12 local oysters and 12 local clams raw =INCREDIBLE. For entrees, I had the NY strip steaks cooked to perfection (med rare) with mouthwatering mashed potatoes andlocal farmed veggies = YUMMMMM. Peter had the tuna (was on the specials for tonight) perfectly cooked with side of rice andveggies delicately all drizzled with a special soy sauce that was mouth watering. This is beyond our wildest dreams that wecan get this kind of food here in our own backyard of Guilford and Branford. Thank you NATAZ!! We came home and our BostonTerrier Moonlight was trying to lick my lips as she smelled the amazing food we just feasted on!!! **Also the art in the ladiesroom is really good, one painting especially reminded me of Van Gogh! !!! And Nataz has great art all around the restauranttoo!!! Got to see ! Peter and I made a reservation for two nights from now on New Years Night 2022 to come back and celebratethe new year here!! A place to bring family and friends together. Wonderful food , atmosphere and incredible service. It is BYOB so get what you... want with your dinner. ( package store literally in the same area as restaurant ) Everyone , from the minute you walk inuntil your party leaves, everyone is so friendly and guides all om the menu.
