Arusuvai has some of the best Chettinad food on the east coast. We thought it was vergood. Many of the critical reviews here are... measuring against a good meal in Tamil Nadu. You cannot find that in the US. Read more

Love the buffet. Excellent food. The BEST SELECTION of South Indian food. They have at least 5 non veg options which includes... tandoor items and yummy curries. Mostly this would include an egg dish, 2 chicken dishes, 1 fish and 1 mutton dish. They have 2soup variety ( 1 veg and 1 non veg). They have uthappam, idli, medhu vada, bajji, etc; as part of the buffet. A chat stationalso is present with 1 preparation (channa masala, poori bhaji, etc). The veg section is also very rich and varieties areavailable. At the end, the sweet tooth cravings are wonderful. Specially prepared by the chef, Karthik, they are the 'icing onthe cake". They also give coffee, ice cream and special drink (like rose milk, mint lemon juice, etc. This is my every weekSaturday stop for lunch. Read more

First time visited to Arusuvai North Brunswick NJ, we had one option for Banana leaf lunch. One Non veg meal price is 30$.This is... very very expensive for these items served.Kids above age 6 price also 30$ .Kids below age 6 is 15$ I ate non veg lunch buffetwith cost around 20$ At Arusuvai Somerville/Norristown branch before Corona lockdown. Serve 3 more items in all desert, curries, starter,Rotti. But this yesterday experience is very bad and disappointed.I don’t know, any management changed. Items servedin Banana leaf: Jackfruit Briyani—-> there is no non veg briyani option.Only one Briyani served fir both Veg and non vegmeal White rice,Served with Chicken curry,Rasam,Buttermilk….Not many non veg curries option in this meal. One chicken curryserved(but taste is sweet curry) non veg Sides: Egg puff(I never saw this combo in Non Veg meals),Goat liver fry and chickenfry Poori served without any side curry!! Papad and Payasam Ginger chutney as pickle(Taste good) Served items taste are goodexcept chicken curry(sweet taste) and chicken fry(over fried, looks black color).Items served to the table but we can’t seewhat items are available and how it looks. Serving people don’t know what food items need to serve in the sequence.Need totrain them what items need to keep first in the Banana leaf. Need to keep display what items are served in the menu in thedigital display or Chalk board, so people can think and eat with price before go for this meal option. Read more

First timer .. liked it .. we went with a group of 6 people and luckily got seats :). It was a buffet . Around 16$ + 4$ =20$ !!!... It’s not that good for vegetarians. 20$ was too much . For meat eaters it was worth. Veggie food was average. Sweets wereaverage too.. but my friends loved fish, prawns and other non veg items. They ran out of chicken starter around 2 pm and keptrefilling with fish. We then asked and they were courteous enough to give a chicken gravy for us. Very nice service . Wish theyhad more chicken dry items. Lots of parking available. BYO too. Nice experience overall .. Read more

The food is tasty and the ambience of the restaurant is good. I tried their buffet at their North Brunswick location. They have... good selection of vegetarian and non vegetarian South Indian dishes. They also serve wide arrays of Indian sweet desserts andmixed fruits as part of the buffet. They took extra care to garnish the sweet dishes attractively. The buffet is priced at $17per person for weekends. This was my first time trying this restaurant and I’m impressed. I found this place to be neat andclean. The staffs are courteous and there are ample space for parking. I will definitely visit this restaurant whenever I visitNew Jersey. Read more
