Coming from California, I’m very skeptical of Mexican food in this area as it’s mostly over greased slop with even worse... Margaritas. This place is hands down the best spot in town, traditional dishes w nice, clean ingredients. To top it off it’sone of the only places in town that will actually make you a skinny margarita (none of the silly / over sweet sour mix). Greatstaff. Great service. Highly recommend. Read more

Service here was great but I have more than a few complaints about the food itself. Chips and Salsa to start is common and... always appreciated. The chips could have used more salt and the salsa was very watery. Its not supposed to be watery and amexican restaurant should at least have the basics down. Taco was good and the carnitas was not dry which is always good. Theburrito is where my problem lies mostly but I will give credit where its due, the steak was good. It's just an all meat burritowith some onions. I don't understand why restaurants do this and I'm beginning to see it more and more. If you want to sell allmeat burritos that's fine but it should be stated as such. If you're going to sell a burrito it should be with veggies rice, beans or other ingredients. Rice and beans were fine but needed salt. The menu in itself needs more flexibility, I wish I hadlooked at it before coming. I read through the dinner menu thinking it was the lunch menu and was pleasantly surprised by myoptions only to find out that wasn't the case. The lunch menu is much smaller and has very few options when compared to thedinner menu. Overall it was an okay experience and I don't plan on going back. Read more

THE OWNERS ARE SERIOUS CHEAPSKATES, THEY CHARGE 5% EXTRA FOR TAKEOUT AND 1.83% FOR CARD USE. After paying $25 for a tough... "steak" fajita and other items, I feel very disappointed. The "steak" was very thin and the same amount as it served in LosReyes or other much cheaper Mexican restaurant. It lacks the advertised juicy marinade, just the usual Mexican spice fare. The"steak" was very rough, I had to cut it up into bite size pieces. The strips were slightly thicker than steak umms. Lettuce inthe salad was wilting. There were no veggies in the Spanish rice. The salsa tasted a little better than the average. On top ofthe lack of quality, they dared to charge a credit card fee and to-go fee, 1.83% and 5% respectively. They already charge muchmore than the competition but with an extra 6.83%, it's the double. And for what? The comparable quality! There are cheaperrestaurants for the same quality. Also, when I ordered, it was very loud and the person on the phone couldn't hear my order, had to repeat several times but eventually gave up. And I just tried to order flour tortillas, but got corn. I’m probably more harsh on Mexican restaurants than most, being a native Texan. This place was just okay. The drinks were weak... and the food fairly bland. However, the grilled corn was really good. It was pretty pricey for what we got ($38 for a salad, twoadult beverages, and the side of corn). Read more
