I placed an online order at the Tropical Smoothie Cafe on Rivers Avenue on 9/13/2022. After delivery was made, I noticed that 1... of the 5 items was wrong. I received a wrap instead of a salad. I called Tropical Smoothie immediately after delivery was maderegarding the order and was asked if I wanted a refund. When I said I would like the salad, I was asked if I was going to pickit up because another delivery could not be sent out. I said I would take the refund. This was the third online order that wasdone incorrectly, but the first time I made contact regarding it giving grace that mistakes happen, even though each time Ipaid for each item, even the sides I didn't receive. In this situation, the store was contacted and notified that they got theorder wrong and I received no apology regarding it and was told I would have to come and pick up the correction or get a refund.I've extended more grace in past orders than what was extended to me with this order. If I wanted a wrap, I would have orderedit. I no longer will be using delivery with this restaurant because they do not take the time to check orders that are baggedbefore it leaves the building and do not attempt to resolve delivery issues by correcting them. The smoothie is always good, however, was disappointed with my experience at this location. It was great to see the employees... socializing and enjoying their work together, but it took about 15 minutes to get my smoothie due to the slow paced work. I wasthe only person in line when I ordered and 3 employees behind the counter. I like tropical smoothie for the quick in and outsnack; however will not waste my time at this location. Read more

This place is now complete garbage. We waited 30 minutes for 2 smoothies that they weren't even sure which one was ours. The... workers were hardly doing anything and what they did do they weren't sure what item went to which order. And when we went to geta refund, they tried to give us somebody else's food because we waited so long. It had someone name on it and everything. Thenthey didn't even give us our full refund. This place is incredibly disappointing. While the smoothies are good because of the WORKERS that try their best to do what they... must with their lack of ingredients/items, they are treated badly. The workers try their best, but are often reprimanded fornot being able to serve certain smoothies/food items because they do not have the ingredients- yet they are the ones who arepunished for it. Teenagers shouldn?t be expected to run the entire store, and be treated terribly when they cannot do their jobsbecause of means that are NOT their faults, rather the fault of the owners. Also, there have been ROACHES/MAGGOTS seen at thislocation? not sanitary. Treat minimum wage employees better, and don?t hide the uncleanliness of your store. Read more

This particular location needs training and quality control. There were 5 of us ordering. We were charged for sides that were... supposed to be included, and when I pointed it out the girl at the register mumbled something incoherent so I let it drop. Whenthe order comes out, one sandwich is missing and no utensils provided to eat the kale salad?? and the kale salad. Yuk! I waslooking forward to the kale salad and instead got maybe 4 half forkfuls of slimy old mush. The bathroom was out of order to topoff this unpleasant lunch out. Read more

They used to be much better! They lack in management and while they pride themselves on delivery, they often get the orders... wrong and do not answer the phone or reply to contact when smoothies are missing. The Dorchester Rd location has better service,although their delivery system is flawed as well. I've lost 5 smoothies in 3 months and have not been reimbursed for a singleone. ????? Read more

Unfortunately this place has went from awesome to not good at all. Either stuff has been missing or the order was wrong. Today... I ordered an apple and banana as side since they don?t over chips anymore. I would?ve never gave out that banana - seepicture! Staff member was super friendly! Just for him 2 stars!! Read more
