Had really high hopes with this place. Came with high praise from a few locals and travelers. Upon arrival, we were sat quickly... on a Saturday night. Our waitress was very kind and very accommodating. The beer selection was good but beer could have beencolder. Biggest gripe is the wait for food. Hush puppies came instantly but entrees for a table of 5 at about 7:30 PM took wellover an hour. Some items came out hot, other came out rubbery and dried out (likely sitting under a lamp for a while). NetBuster was interesting but severely lacked quality. Price for medium crabs were $78/DOZ (crazy). No all you can eat options.Next time we are in town we will try another place. Read more

First time here on our road trip and spotted this restaurant in a quaint little town. Our waitress was very helpful. She... recommended the Woody melt. It was good. We loved the crab cake, broiled. Maryland crab soup was good too but a bit too saltyfor me Read more

Always take a chance to stop by this place driving between DC and New York. The cream of crab soup is amazingly good. On Mondays... the one dollar shucked Chincoteague oysters are a great bargain, which are humongous and tasty. Wait staff is always friendlyand you get a nice selection of beers to boot. Read more

Woody?s is a beautiful crab house located in North East Maryland, while I?m not from the area I can safely say I love the... neighborhood this restaurant is in and just the area in general. Walk around town, enjoy the local businesses and come enjoysome great crabs! It was nice outside when we went so we didn?t get to see the inside as we dined outside for the evening. Theoutside dinning area is covered by a nice tent, with a bar and plenty of fans for ventilation. The tables were covered withbrown paper they have on a roll. Which is a good sign if you plan on eating a lot of crabs. It also makes the outside tablesfeel more clean. I got the fried soft shell crab and crab cake. The fried crab was very delicious. It was fragile but yetdurable enough to be picked up and eaten without a problem. The crab cake was really good too. However, I felt like the ?awardwinning? title on the cake overhyped the experience for me a little bit. This is definitely a delicious crab cake but not thebest out there and I just have to be honest about that. I can?t for my next visit over to Maryland and when I do, Woody?s CrabHouse is going to be on my list of activities! Read more

I entertained three women associated with the United Way of Cecil County at Woody's. There were a table open in a quiet area... where we could talk about improving the United Way in Cecil County. We had a calamari appetizer while waiting for the fourthmember of our party to arrive. It was delicious and quite substantial. I had a crab cake sandwich. For those of you readingthis who aren't from Maryland, crab cakes in Maryland are dramatically tastier than crab cakes in any other state exceptDelaware. In Delaware, they make crab cakes the Maryland way. My guests had fish & chips, crab mac&cheese, and salad. Everyoneenjoyed their lunch. One of the attached photos is a selfie of the four of us. Service was friendly and efficient. There's freeparking in back and street parking in front. There is access for folks in wheelchairs. I highly recommend Woody's. Read more

Largest seafood restaurant in town, known for its steamed blue crabs. Besides crabs, it has a full lineup of other seafood in... raw and fried forms. We got some raw oysters and calamari to start. Steamed crabs and crab fries to finish our lunch. Everything was good and tasty. Slow service. Its food was priced a tad high. Read more

This was recommended by an employee in the Maryland House rest stop. Although I already had it on my list of places to eat.... :D It was supposed to be for blue crabs which Maryland is famous for. Unfortunately the cold weather lasted longer than usualthis year so they have not been able to get them yet. So we ordered other items. Maryland Crab Soup Crab Imperial Soft Shelland Cake Everything was delicious! Will have to come back when they get blue crabs ???? ???? Service was excellent! Read more

Open mid week when other nearby restaurants were not. I got fried shrimp special, it was large juicy shrimp and excellent hush... puppies. My wife got the shrimp scampi special, also very good. Both dinners were generous portions, enough for the next dayfor lunch. Service was excellent as was the locally brewed dark beer that I had. Prices are very reasonable for the specials. Read more
