Service is excellent and the food is good. Traditional Italian fare...recommend the peppers and sausage appetizers, but only if... you like it spicy. When this says spicy on their dishes they mean it. Also their wine list is pretty good and they don't pricegouge you when you buy a bottle. Didn't have the dessert but the couple we were with enjoyed their bread pudding and lavacake. Read more
Food was very good but the bartender, Jackie was DEFINITELY not! My boyfriend and I were at the bar. We ordered drinks. There... was a reserved spot with two placemats to the right of us. Once we ordered dinner, I slid the placemats to the left so shedidn’t need to reach over the draft beer handles, holiday decorations and our wine glasses. She came over and noticed that Ishifted the placemats over and said the MOST DISRESPECTFUL, NASTY words that ANY SERVICE EMPLOYEE in any establishment has eversaid (all because I slid down two placemats about 2 feet). Then she rudely stated that I needed to take my purse off the chairnext to me (which I was going to do once I took my glasses out anyway). When I kindly questioned what the big deal was and saidI was only trying to help her, SHE GAVE ME MORE ATTITUDE AND SAID MORE UNCALLED comments. I couldn’t even enjoy my dinnerbecause I was SO UPSET. I heard she is the chef’s daughter (so I guess she thinks she can’t get fired). I hope the ownersends her to etiquette class and does something about this. Stay far away for many reasons. Food was average, service horrible and servers were rude. drinks are watered down and wine... pours are criminal. waited 20 minutes for our drinks and 50 minutes for our dinner. It get's better. When asked for a managerto discuss our displeasure I was lied to in terms of who I was speaking with. The owners and their daughter are unstable so becareful if you have an issue. Dined here last night with friends who live nearby. A true, somewhat hidden, gem. Service and food were absolute top notch.... Wine list was quite good leaning towards Italian heavy but very fairly priced. A restaurant that really gets what fine dining isand executes it flawlessly. Kudos! Read more

My mother and I decided to try something new but still in the area. After compiling a short list of restaurants we decided on... Giuseppe’s and we couldn’t have been happier with our decision. I had the oysters (east coast) which were incredibly freshas well as the scallop dinner with potatoes and asparagus. The scallops were cooked perfectly. My mother had the truffle steakwhich was also cooked to perfection as well as properly seasoned with the truffles. It was in no way overpowering but in thesame token it was not light in flavor. Great! We also had the buratta which was also very fresh and great tasting. The staff wasvery nice and helpful. We will definitely come back again! Read more
The bartender, who happens to be the owner’s daughter is extremely rude and disrespectful . She has no idea how to speak to... customers and unfortunately we will NOT go back. Please do not waste a night at this establishment. North Haledon has Nadie’sand Piazza 22— Choose those instead! As you can see from her response below— she has no idea how to speak to people. Myhusband and I asked to move over to two empty chairs at the front of the bar. If that’s asking you to be a servant, then youmight want to rethink your line of work. Lastly, for those of you who think this is a one time event—- please scroll down andsee the numerous negative reviews and comments pertaining to Jackie the bartender.
