Best Lobster stew I have had in a long time! Sorry Billy?s Chowder house in Maine, this place has you beat! Lobster roll was... stuffed with lobster! What an awesome place! Pretty good quality seafood! The pricing is average compared to other places. The lobster roll was delicious as was the fried... seafood combo platter. The fried seafood was cooked well and not greasy! Only knocked a star because I wish they used fullsized shrimp and larger scallops. Read more
Thought I'd try Al's Seafood for a little change of pace. We all got fried seafood (is there any other way to prepare seafood?),... and we all enjoyed it greatly. Everything was fried to perfection, and the flavors were great. I had the seafood platter, whichwas very reasonably priced (about $25). Of course, you're only going to get so many clams and scallops for that price, but itwas enough to satisfy my seafood craving for another week. Service was also friendly and fast. Went up for some fried oysters today and they were worth the trip. Absolutely cooked to perfection. And the counter help was... very friendly and helpful. Sat out side on the picnic tables enjoyed the breeze. Will be back again soon update went back againtoday and had the lobster roll absolutely the best in the area. I ordered the tuna salad roll my wife ordered the haddock sandwich. My tuna roll was a little bit dry and I did not really care... for the taste of it I did not like the fact that the role was not grilled it was toasted I asked the girl if it would come thatway she said yes and it didn't. Also I find that the role is too much bread and not enough tuna. I was very hungry so I ate itanyways I guess my tuna expectations are high. My wife said her haddock sandwich was delicious. I would go there again I justwould not order the tuna not to my liking. Friendly staff nice and clean we opted to eat outside in the car not inside. This review is for the restaurant side, not the market. This place is okay. The fried seafood is good. It?s lightly battered and... not too heavy. There aren?t any good sauces to speak of though. I like some good cocktail or tartar sauce with my fried seafood.The lobster pie was too heavy on the butter, but the homemade breadcrumb topping was much better than places that use ritzcrackers. Our favorite menu items ended up being the steamed mussels and the crab cakes. Both were very good. They have indoorand outdoor seating and the location is very easy to find and get to. Tried the lobster roll today. The quality of the lobster was very fresh and tasted really good. Unfortunately the roll was... extremely stale and Dry. To the point where it was crumbling. We called to let them know and the owner/manager who answered wasnot very professional. Can?t say i would go back. Definitely would have tried again had the owner/manager been a little moreprofessional. For $80 worth of lobster rolls (3) I would expect better. Read more
