Food Decent. Atmosphere ok. Service more than outstanding.

The remodel is very nice. The food is mediocre. Prices are to high for the quality of the food. I can make Kraft Mac and cheese... at home I don't want to over pay for it at a restaurant and the taco salad was just terrible. Tried a couple times since thechange in ownership and just not impressed with the food when I'm paying $40-$50 for sandwiches and salad for 3 people. Read more
I flew into town to visit my brother and was further honored to be the guest bartender at the new MainView this past Saturday... night and contribute to the creation of their new cocktail menu (I added a picture of the "and this little piggy..." -- bourbon,maple syrup, bitters, and chocolate-dipped bacon). Having been a regular as much as one can from New York, I?ve had manywonderful conversations, book club nights for which no books are discussed, a great beer selection, and even one embarrassingmeltdown. As a bartender seasoned by both time and margarita salt, I can attest that the new owners, T.L. and Cheryl, arefriendly and attentive to their staff and customers alike. From the new stylings, fresh paint, and refined menu, they are at thehelm of a ship going in the right direction. The staff is delightful: Chloe (RTF), Jayden, Clay, Wendy, and Emma, who now knowshow to pick out the perfect watermelons for the Flamingo Kiddo. I?m looking forward to returning soon to pretend to discussbooks with Bob, Julie, Dale, Tara, Marcie, Rusty, Tim, Sam, MacKenzie, Michelle, Joel, Rust Buster, and BenBoozleBadBoy. Welcome to the NEW Main View! Not only is the historic establishment under new ownership but it has been completely remodeled.... The inside is light and bright! They have opened it up for a lot of natural light to come in. The menu has been changed stillincluding some favorites but shortening to perfect food items! And that they have! We were very impressed with the food anddrinks we ordered. We also had great service. Family friendly or enjoy the beautiful bar dining room. Read more
Not the healthiest meal I've ever eaten, but that's not why we go to the pub, now is it? Definitely try the fried pickle spears... and fried green beans. I had the Hoosier pork chop dinner with fries and coleslaw, it's a lot of food and pretty affordable.It's a cozy place with a nice back room. Read more
Considering that we were the only customers in the bar they took forever to take our order, I got my own menus. Then our order... was wrong. Our glasses stayed empty. THE NUMBER ONE RULE FOR A BARTENDER ALWAYS KEEP THE GLASSES FULL!!! It would have beennice to have had good service. The food was just ah! Read more
