Came down the boulevard tonight to HOTO'S. Band playing was Smoke & Mirrors, fantastic collection of music. Ordered the massive... pretzel we were not exactly as sure what the cheese sauce was made of, somewhat questionable. Hopefully they will get realcheese sauce in future. Menu has changed from when we were there in the past, Mahi Tacos have been removed and some other items. Read more

The food is not bad, but the dining experience was terrible. After waiting 25 minutes on our drinks, we placed our orders after... placing an appetizer order. We received our meals before the appetizer. We brought this to the attention of the waitress whopromised to put a rush on them when we had asked to cancel them. A nice young man brought them to our table after we hadfinished our meal and he offered to box them to take with us and we accepted. The waitress then came with our bill and as webegan to pay, the boxed and bagged appetizer was brought to our table. The waitress told us that she had removed the appetizercharge from our bill but since we got it, she?d have to add them back to our bill. So, our appetizer comes out 30 minutes afterour food and we get penalized. This wouldn?t have been an issue, but she was just plain rude and mumbled to herself the entiretime she was working with or around us. Read more

Had a fantastic time here. The reviews weren't very strong and I'm having a hard time understanding why. The food and drinks... were great and we had an ocean view. Very little crowd compared to other beachfront grills so it was an even betterexperience. Our server, Jess, did great for being a 3 day veteran of the place. When we got there it was raining lightly. There are picnic tables and a stage out front which is very cool. Inside is really... nice but we like to sit outdoors so because it was raining we sat on the deck out back. There is plenty of seating and greatviews. Our server was experienced but new to this place so things were a little off. We got our drinks and ordered our food. Wewalked out to the beach and enjoyed the view. It seemed to take a while for our food to arrive. When it got there it lookedgreat (I forgot to take pictures because we were starving!) We dig into our food and soon realize that all our food cold. Myhusband had fish tacos which were slightly warm but delicious. My daughter had steak and shrimp and it was cold. The steak wasdone just right but cold. I got a huge pretzel with cheese and it was also cold. The cheese had skin. Like I said we werestarving so we ate it cold. The food was good just cold. I really think it has to do with not having enough staff which is aproblem everywhere now. I will go back and try it again and hopefully have an even better experience. Read more

We were in the mood for southern/sea food options. We were honestly going to try out Buoys , but the wait was 45+ minutes. So... we came over to Hotos where we could be seated straight away - outside on the beach no less. We had a great view of thewaves. The service was soooooo good. Everyone was friendly and accommodating. The hush puppies were the best I've ever had,and they came with a delicious honey butter. The fried okra was great, the fish tacos were perfect and they came with a spicyCajun ranch that I loved. We asked about possibly reserving a larger table outside for the following night. Are we just broughtthe manager over and she set us up with no problems. She even introduced us to the waitress we would have the next night. Ican't say enough how nice everyone was! When we were done we walked out the back and straight onto the beach. We will be back! Read more

This place should be ashamed of themselves. We waited 2 hours for cold food. Not what we ordered, with a lot of excuses. From... the minute we sat down we were loaded with every excuse possible. And the staff was nasty also. Read more

While seated outside there was a band playing which made waiting for our food enjoyable. The crab and shrimp dip was a bit bland... but the shrimp dinner with two sides was amazing! The shrimp was grilled with a blackened seasoning which I loved. The mac andcheese was creamy and melted in my mouth. If you want great seafood, I would recommend coming here! Read more
