Delicious! Our waiter was awesome! Staff were friendly and attentive. Even on an extremely busy summer night All meals come... with a family portion of tomatoe and cucumber salad, bread, and a beans and greens mixture. The beans and greens mixture wasvery good For our entrees, we ordered chicken parm, chicken marsala and lasagna. Lasagna was very good, and the chicken parmand marsala were top notch!! Highly recommend You won't leave hungry!! Read more

While at Myrtle Beach visiting my parents we went to barefoot landing. After checking in with a few restaurants, learning waits... were more than an hour and a half, we walked into Umberto's. The restaurant is split into two sections with the waiting area andhost stand in the middle. Although the waiting area was fully packed we were surprised to see that within 5 minutes they hadseated everyone who was waiting when we walked in. By the time we got to the host which took about 3 minutes, we were alsoseated. They get five stars for moving them in and out right off the bat. Once we sat our server Mickey explained to us that allentrees come with their three House appetizers. The first was pasta fazool, the second was a tomato salad, and the third wasspaghetti in marinara. The house appetizers were amazing!!!! After that my father ordered the chicken with prosciutto andprovolone, my mother ordered the eggplant parmesan, I ordered a 24 oz New York strip steak which was 4 days wet aged and cookedto perfection. I live in Philadelphia and eat in some of the nicest steakhouses in the country. This was by far and away thebest steak I have ever had in 41 years of life. No exaggeration. For starters it was actually 24 oz and looked more like adinosaur leg. Beyond that it was cooked to absolute perfection. I could not believe what I was experiencing as I continued tochew. So much so that I asked Mickey to tell the chef who cooked my steak that it was the best steak I had ever eaten. We hadiced teas and lemonades, they were delicious. When all was said and done there was no room in the tank for dessert. When thebill arrived we almost fell off our chairs. It was only $125. I don't even know how that's possible, but it's true. I will beback to Myrtle Beach in September and I'm already looking forward to coming for round two. If you don't believe me check out thephotos. I took detailed shots because the food was that amazing. Do not waste your time waiting in excessive l Read more

The steak was the best I have ever had. All of the food was great. We had reservations for 5 pm right when they opened and was... seated immediately. We got our entrees at 6:10 pm but it was worth the wait. The dining room got packed and loud. The waitresslooked stressed running back and forth trying to take care of five tables. The food earned a five star and the waitress was athree star. 7/6/22 Read more

Absolutely ???? delicious ????. The amount of food is way too much to eat in one setting. The lamb is the most lamb I've gotten... anywhere, and it was cooked to perfection. I am impressed and when we visit again we will be back. Great staff, fast pacedatmosphere. Read more

During this time of the labor shortage where every other place is running with hardly any staff and limited seating Umberto's is... fully functioning. The place was packed! Both with tourist and locals. The staff was top notch in both personality andservice! The food? AMAZING! Who said you can't get good gravy (sauce) in the south? WOW! The meatballs were delicious, just like New York's famous Italian cuisine. The meals all have the same courses...1st greens and beans - spectacular, thentomato and cuke salad, yum, followed by angel hair w/ red sauce - so gooood! Warm bread is also served. The main meal for uswas Steak Scampi and Vodka Rigs. The strip steak was a good thick cut, cooked to perfection drizzled with scampi sauce andjumbo shrimp. The vodka rigs were cooked perfectly also with an awesome sauce the we have not found in the south until now. The 2 hr wait was well worth it. Have a drink, relax, do a little shopping and the meal will make you forget about the wait. Kudos! Keep up the amazing work! Read more
