12/2022 - Very disappointed this evening at Panera. The three of us had 2 pick 2's with bread bowls, and one soup in a bread... bowl, with drinks (but their small drink is now a regular and $3). It was $52!!! I thought that was quite expensive for 3 soupsand 2 half sandwiches. Additionally, the food was tasty but mediocre. They used to have a fresh steak and arugula sandwich.Now, it's your average panini that I would say is on par with a Domino's $5.99 cheesesteak (but at Domino's you get twice thesandwich for $5.99). Also, they used to hollow out the bread bowl with their hand. Now they are just cutting a chunk of breadout of the bowl with a knife so you are getting more bread than soup. The furnishings are getting pretty tired too. To me, itfeels like the joy is gone from this store...and farm/bakery fresh has been replaced with a, "It's good enough" attitude. Fromarrival to exit, it was a completely contact-less. Not a single soul talked to us. The folks used to come by and at least see ifthe meal was OK. Not anymore. My advice is to go to Culver's you will get the same or better quality for $20 less. Read more

I really enjoy the lunch combo options. It's a bit pricey for what you get, but it is always good. We use the self service kiosk... when we go. It is very efficient and easy to use. Hardly ever have to wait for more than five minutes to receive our food. It'salways busy, but the floors are regularly littered with debris and tables aren't usually wiped off in a timely manner. I'll assume they are suffering staffing issues like many seem to be, but there is so much that needs attention at this place the... issue clearly extends to management. The food was passable, although my apple wasn't very appetizing. The dining room badlyneeded some attention - dirty floors, un-bussed and uncleaned tables - as did the men's room (no towels). Someone needs to stepit up here - it's a very busy place that could do really well with some attention. Read more

So I usually like riding my bike 3.2 miles to the NP Panera Bread at minimum 2-3 days a week. However, I might have to opt to... drive to Port Charlotte b/c this location is not kept up to par in terms of cleanliness? The staff are courteous & attentive;however, the constant sight of food being left on all the tables, chairs & floor is damn near unbearable at times? Then theirsthe issue w/ staff not wearing the appropriate hair garments?especially individuals w/ long hair. Overall, I?m usually not astickler about this, but some of the staff have long hair in the front & the back & they are constantly pushing the hair back orforth w/ their forearms. The notation of cleanliness should be at the forefront & management needs to intervene b/c these pricesare not cheap? therefore the atmosphere needs to match the price of admission (dining) per say. Made rapid pickup order for a pastry, and there was very quick app notification (and text, and e-mail) that my order was ready. ... Went inside to pick up but there was none for me. I asked a worker. She took my name and checked. She said "they are stillpreparing, but it will be there soon. It's in the system." 20 minutes went by and nobody checked-in with me. 30 minutes wentby and I talked to another worker. She asked what my order was and she just grabbed the pastry I wanted from bakery, said"sorry about that." Unacceptable. Read more

I do love Panera and go there a lot. The kids working at Panera North Port are really great but this store has high staff... turnover. New faces every week. The management of this Panera seems to be not up to the task. I?ve been having headaches andsneezing attacks whenever I sit there for an hour, or longer. The place is infested with black mold. It is clearly visible onpretty much every single AC vent in this coffee shop (see photos). It?s disgusting! I brought this to a manager?s attention acouple of months ago, showing her an AC vent. I also told one of the girls about the mold problem. They are aware of it and evenadmitted that some employees got sick from it, too. For Christ?s sake, this is a restaurant! You have paying customers who eatthere and you have high school kids working there! Management, do something about it! Nobody deserves to be subjected to suchdisgusting and dangerous conditions.
