Came to El Charro using my RI Food Fights Taco Passport and was not disappointed!! I called to order takeout and the person in... the phone was so friendly and helpful, and when I went to pick up my order everyone inside seemed so happy, patrons and staffalike. I had the chicken and steak tacos and holy moly they were so good! They both came with a generous amount of meat and theflavors were incredible. I am so looking forward to returning to try many other menu items. The restaurant was clean and had anice atmosphere, large bar area, plenty of seating, and a large parking lot. This is a takeout review. All food is eaten fresh in the vehicle. I used their app to place an order for 6:25. I arrived at 6:15... and it was sitting on the counter. Took it to the vehicle and drove one block, parked and ate. All of the food was cold. It hadbeen sitting out for some time. The French fries were cold and soggy. The refried beans were a solid block. The Taco had someflavor but it was cold. Even the Torta wrapped in foil could not be considered warm. A very disappointing experience. On a scalefrom 0-10 I would rate this 3.8. Read more
I came here with some friends and had absolutely no idea what I was in for. Our waitress was kind enough to go through the menu... and eagerly point out her favourite dishes and recommendations - and I was all too happy to order everything that she pointedto! Not only was the food DELICIOUS but it was also just a lot of fun having a waitress that was so willing to help out anewcomer who had no idea what to order. Also - their serving sizes are no joke! You're basically getting a meal for yourself nowand one to bring home with you for later. Such a great problem to have - cause those leftovers did not survive the night.
