Extremely Rude, asked for accommodation for allergy, they were clearly too busy to accommodate. When stated the chicken she had... that was not marinated was only for pasta dishes, when Asked if we use that chicken she then stated it was marinated also. Iredirected her back to her statement she says ... well now it is. I then hang up... she proceeds to call me back yelling sayingto never hang up on her. started calling me a bully because I hung up. clear definition of Bully is the owner calling acustomer back and berating a customer because the customer chose to end the rude conversation Then states she is recordingconversation and that she is now hanging up on me! So if she recorded call, she should listen to it and see how she acted. Whywould an owner feel need to call a customer back after they hung up??? It used to be such a GREAT PLACE with previousowners, Not upset that she couldn't accommodate the allergy, many can't...it's that she was so rude about it. Update Responseto owner... You do not know me only know my name by caller ID I have only been in twice. I never yelled at your employee.. whywould I she had nothing to do with you being so rude. The Bullying and sarcasm continues... it's not becoming of an owner bycontinuing to harass and insult former patrons. Sorry you can not handle a truthful review. Mario's never fails to delight. This is a unique, authentic confluence of Italian bistro and sub/pizza shop easily accessible on... Rt. 28 on the Reading/North Reading line. I am always impressed by their superior quality products, their speedy and friendlyservice and immaculately clean store. My favorite items are the steak bomb wrap, the chicken parm wrap and lasagna dinner,though they have a more than complete menu representing creative Italian favorites that one might expect from a North End Bostonestablishment. Just moved to North Reading MA, from Florida, discovering the area, I found this distinguished restaurant in Main street North... Reading. Very few honorable Italian restaurants in this town, and I am not afraid to say that Mario?s is the best. A critiquebased on their friendly service, waitresses make you feel like a special guest, their all in one environment, thinking abouttaking your girlfriend or wife to a fancy place? Mario?s is the place. Thinking about a family dinner, where you can have funand feel free of judgment? Mario?s is the place. The food? Let?s not even talk about it. Decided to stop here for lunch after reading some of the great reviews that Google reviewers described this spot as an Italian... mom and pop style food establishment. The location is in a shopping center and the ambiance is cozy with a large TV on ESPN. Ithas enough room to fit around 25-30 customers comfortably. It's a walk in order and sit style which I'm very familiar with inthe big cities like NY and Boston. The pizza had great reviews but I decided to try the Italian wedding soup and my wife thechicken tortellini soup. We also ordered the chicken piccata to share. The soup was good-not too salty. The Italian wedding soupwas exactly what I expected it to taste like and the chicken soup was served with generous chicken breast, carrots, onions andcelery. The chicken piccata was flavorful and the pasta was cooked to normal texture which is not too mushy. Overall I likedthis place and will come back to try the gourmet pizza and ribs. It's under new owners and the food is absolutely to die for . I've been to Rome and Venice . Believe it or not same great food... without the airfare . You want real Italian go here . I understand you wouldn't believe you get such good food out of a smallplace but you can . You'll love it try it . Read more
