A beautiful spot to stop in! Plenty of seating, indoor and outdoor. While I didn't try their food, it looked and smelled... fantastic. All the staff members that I interacted with were very kind, generous, and helpful. A staff member I spoke with werevery knowledgeable about the drinks they serve. The wine is fantastic. I had the Farmer's Daughter Rose Wine, light and slightlycrisp, tasting slightly fruity at the edges. Their Blackberry Port is to die for, especially if you appreciate port on its own. Read more

Nice area to stop for lunch, with local wine tastings and different options for food. Recommend the wine flights to get a nice... variety of flavours. Nice seating area outside with options in the sun or shade. Had to clear the table myself, as well as pickup the food when they called my name. Read more

Farm fresh bakery & cafe with tasty breakfast sandwiches, bennys, cinnamon bun french toast, soup, salads, lunch sandwiches... including that famous Montreal Smoked Meat (highly recommend getting it on marble rye adding sauerkraut (+$1), which comes withfries...and you can upgrade to their legit poutine (+$1.50) with chicken gravy & squeaky curds. Next time, we try the Meatloafsandwich ($16) Read more

Standing Ovation Worthy! The peach rosé was everything! There?s such a good selection of soups and sandwiches, salads, baked... goods, even take home shepherds pies and cookie dough! There are so many places to eat inside and outside, the patio is dogfriendly and staff are also very friendly! There?s a lovely gift shop inside as well. 10/10 Read more

First time visiting. I had a Montreal smoked beef sandwich with a Caesar salad. Both were awesome. This place also has really... awesome desserts. I bought a couple to sample at home . They also make and sell their own wine there. It is a great place forwine tasting. Read more

This review is about the pasties and sausage rolls sold at The Roost. Unfortunately, I have to say that the pasties are... borderline 'if there's nothing else, I'll have one of these...' The pasties are not baked at the Roost. They are not meal size- too small. A pastie is supposed to have a 'handle' on its edge - not across its crown. Because the pasties are small, and atthe crown, the pastry is thick, little space is left for the filling. The filling is average, at best. The sausage rolls arebaked at The Roost. The sausage meat is in the form of a regular sausage. This leaves quite a void, between the sausage, andthe pastry. The sausage rolls have a different pastry to the pasties, and they are quite tasty. They are also quite small -child size I would say. Three stars would be a bit too generous. Closer to 2.5, IMHO Read more

The food was good and the host was very kind and pleasant. I?m not a wine expert but they all paired well with the food. If... you?re driving down to Victoria from the ferry terminal, I think it?s worth checking out. They also have chickens and goats! Read more

Great breakfast to be had at this busy spot. Friendly service ( no table service), and food was quickly prepared. Eggs Benny... was delicious. We both really enjoyed the breakfast potatoes. If only we had room to try some of the baked goods. Next time! Read more
