I arrived in town to board the ferry to NFLND and when looking for a place to eat, wasn't finding much until I discovered the... Black Spoon and almost felt it was out of place in such a small town but regardless, it was a first class meal. Having travelledall the way from Vancouver Island to this east coast and dined many places, this was by far the best. Service & cost were great.Not overpriced like the $104 I paid for a veal dish (wine & appie) in Ottawa. I got good value, fantastic taste and plenty offood for the bucks. Delicious food here and friendly staff. John Ratchford and I had the veggie salad which was amazing, it had cooked onions and... other root vegetables. I added scallops and shrimp but John Ratchford didn?t add meat. My good friend Liz and he daughter bothhad wraps. The girl absolutely loved her wrap, and Liz loved the side chowder which had real chunks of big lobster and otherseafood. The child had a Perrier with lemon to drink, and we all had teas and coffees. Exceptional food. Great service. What the special is get it. We had the sea food special. Haddock, scallops, shrimp with a Basil... cream sauce. Vegetable was, shredded carrots, zucchini, onion sauteed with garlic. Roasted potatoes and the garlic mashed ones,delicious. The Chef came out and asked how everything was, since first to order this.. Stellar was our reply. Had a coupledrinks and the spring roll app. I highly recommend this place. Read more
This food was AMAZING! I had thier "trio" for lunch which changes daily. (Mine was garden salad, butternut squash soup and a... grilled pulled pork sandwich) Thier signage is not great, but from the pizza place on the corner you pass a subway and anotherpizza joint then you are there! They have different menus for lunch and dinner and all seafood is delivered fresh eachmorning. My mom had the grilled cheese and bacon sandwich with the seafood chowder. The chowder was flavourful and loaded withseafood, the sandwich was cheesy awesomeness (I stole bites...). Read more

Had the Cajun seafood pasta and the scallop carbonara and both were delicious! Cajun pasta had a good amount of seafood... (scallops, mussels, lobster meat, and shrimp). Cajun flavour was very nice and strong! Scallop carbonara was rich and creamy.The bacon around the scallop made it a little saltier than we prefer (but we like less salt on things). Had to get take outbecause we didn't make a reservation beforehand and they were full for the evening (around 6:30) so make sure you call ahead andmake one! They're busy for a reason! Read more
This place, as do many in Canada requires reservations. We had dinner here. The location is in a couple store fronts near the... ferry terminal. It is a bit upscale but fair pricing. We had a shared sales and two entrees and two wines for $90C. We had theblackened seafood and the Cajun seafood pasta. Both excellent! Both are very spicy.
