I visited this A&W yesterday to grab some delicious pancakes but unfortunately I had a bad experience. The lady behind the... counter wearing the head set came to serve me and she was extremely rude and impatient. She was also arguing with other staffright in front of customers creating a really uncomfortable atmosphere. When my pancakes were ready she slammed them on thecounter and never gave me my butter,maple syrup or my drink. So the pancakes sat on the counter until they went stone cold andeventually another staff member walked over and completed my order. I think it's safe to say I will never return to this A&Wagain as long as they have staff like that working there. -5 stars Read more
For quality of the food I can give 4.5 star, but I think the staff need some more training or at least a good supervisor. The... line was so long while some of them just walk around and they could help. My drink was slid toward me and spilled. During fiveto ten minutes, they made more than two mistakes (fine in drinks in glass instead of take out, etc.) I believe A&W should takecare of that, because they have just one branch in very good location and it's a large one in North Vancouver. Food was as great. Onions rings were crispy and well seasoned. Fries were hot and fresh. And order arrived at the window very... quickly. The only sad thing I have to say, is there are no longer any rootbeer milkshakes. They were my absolute favorite. A bitof a disappointment, really. Overall though it was good. Read more
Probably one of the better A&Ws around to sit in and enjoy a meal. Even if its a fast food place. Drive through as well. Really... enjoy the all Canadian breakfast ( before 11am) at a reasonable price (12.75 Aug.2022) with coffee. I substitute the sausagelinks with all bacon. Read more
I had the best A&W experience at this location. The place is clean, well maintained and organized. The food was really fast and... freshly prepared. There is space, there is character, there is friendly staff, good food and short waiting times. This building does stand out.... It is totally recognizable and it has its own open space in an area full of large buildings packed against sidewalks and eachother - and that helps show that it can give people what they want. I will admit that I usually see this place when I'm rushingpast, going to or from work; so when I am walking through the area and I stop in I am very happy. There's lots of parking for abuilding this size. Once in the restaurant I saw it is very clean and well staffed. I was after the lunch rush, so they werebusier with drive-thru than with dine-in patrons, but I was not ignored. On my recent visit I just had a small meal (well, onelarger burger) and it was nicely cooked and arrived in good time. The meat was pretty juicy, the toppings were tasty, and ididn't feel I had to rush through my meal. I like this restaurant. I've heard some people say it might have a small town look,but that kind of helps add some hospitality to its feel. The friendly staff and quality of the food is better than other burgerplaces, which adds to that vibe - there is more of a neighborhood feel to make me want to come back. Read more
