Came in one day for supper. Was not sure what to expect and found some other friends showing up for supper as well without us... knowing. Our party had the coconut curry, power bowl, grilled saffron chicken club and the Finch & Barley burger. Our otherfriends had the lamb dish that was on the menu. It was all very good and the atmosphere was ok for what it was in for a localpub in North Vancouver. Read more

There were so many weird, bad things about our experience here that I'm not sure I have enough room in this review to explain it... all. We were instructed by the bartender to seat ourselves inside, waited a long time to be acknowledged, got a glass of waterthat tasted *funky* (like metal, or freezer burned icecubes?). We ordered a $13 margarita but it was tiny and 90% icecubes witha bit of booze and pineapple juice (I know a lot of restaurants serve drink this way these days, but it's not okay - dobetter). Looking around, it seemed like a lot of the customers were peeved. It was at this point we realized that the serverswere understaffed for the size of the space. The music was too bass-ey, so we asked if we could move outside and did. Neverhave I been treated like an inconvenience to a server before, but here I sure felt like I was. Both of the tables we sat at weredirty - the one inside with drink rings and the outdoor table with crumbs in between the slats. We waited for an hour for thefood. The halloumi sandwich was delicious, but they skimped on the fries. We ordered prawns for our beet salad and they wereovercooked, bland, and very hard to chew. We talked to our server about the wait and she explained that the kitchen was backedup and that it was just her and ONE OTHER SERVER IN TRAINING. The restaurant and patio were full at this point, and people werewaiting to be seated. I hope the management can learn to better set their staff up for success. For everything I havementioned, there is another thing I haven't. It was just an odd, mostly unpleasant experience and I really want to emphasizethat it was not the servers fault (and probably not the kitchen's, either) and I really feel for the struggle they were having. All together, we were there for almost two hours for only one drink and a meal. This place is great I totally did not expect what we got into. A cozy neighbourhood social place with AMAZING vibe. You feel you... are in a popular downtown pub whiteout the need to go to downtown. Cocktails were great and their Mediterranean fusion food wasmuch better than what you expect. They have DJ live music most of weekends Read more

I really enjoyed the Crispy Cauliflower and Sundried Tomato Hummus appetizers with the first being a pretty unique dish which... should definitely be tried. The Finch & Barley Burger was good and I highly recommend getting the yam fries with them as theyare excellent. I wouldn't recommend the Grilled Halloumi Sandwich or Pear Brie flatbread as these were out least favoritedishes. Overall a good spot with friendly service despite a few hiccups. Read more

We decided to find a quiet place to have a conversation and enjoy a small plate to share. We had no idea what we ware in for.... Our waitress was absolutely awesome personable and so fun, the pulled lamb poutine was the best poutine I have ever had. Thegravy has a slight citrus taste that just hit your pallet with all kinds of colourful flavours. If you decide to visit thislittle Gem you might just run into us, because in the immortal words of the terminator. I?ll be back Read more
