I ordered pizza today online at 4:45pm and asked for a delivery at 6:00 p.m. The website allows you to choose 15 minute... increments. I set about trying to finish some things around the house before 6:00 p.m. The pizza arrived just before 5:20, afull 40 minutes ahead of schedule. I checked my receipt to make sure I didn't make the mistake. I confirmed that the order wasfor 6pm. I called them to inquire about the mistake. The man on the phone rudely told me that the problem was mine and thatdeliveries could happen anytime. I asked what the point of having a specific delivery time was if they were just deliveredwhenever. He said they started making the pizzas when an order came in. Is this the first world problem? You bet. In fact it'snot even that big a deal except for the fact the Lynn Valley franchise made it clear that the problem was mine. The suggestedremedy was to send the driver back pick up the pizzas and re-deliver them at 6:00 p.m. um, thanks but no. I would suggestthat as a business the appropriate response would be to hear your customers concerns and try to address them in a polite manner.The delivery driver seemed nice but come on Freshslice, get your act together. I'd recommend against using this outlet untilthey improve their customer service and figure out their online delivery timelines. Sadly the pizza wasn't even good and thewings were soaked in a puddle of barbecue sauce. I'll be going back to another pizza outfit next time. Sorry Freshslice you'velost my business for good. I am shocked with the experience I have just had here. They had literally no pizzas ready, so I agreed on some flavours I don?t... really like as I was in a rush to get going. I asked for my slices to be put into a box and guy refused! He was like I onlyhave 4 slice boxs, I said okay please but in a 4 slice box then I?ll pay the extra for the box, he refused again! No must be 4slices 3 slices go into a bag. Then he chucks the pizza in the bag and says take it or leave. Like what the heck. Needless tosay, I left and the guy yells at me to not come back. I don?t understand why they wouldn?t put it into a box? It still doesn?tmake sense to me. I offered to pay for the box! DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE! Most fresh slices are great, not this one!! I'm not very familiar with North Vancouver and its restaurants and fast food options. I was attracted to this locations Fresh... Slice from it's familiarity and cleanliness from outside of the store to the very modern and sleek looking inside. If it weren'tfor the COVID-19 pandemic, I would have eaten my pizza at the store. The best part of my experience at this location was thecustomer service. Kuna, who was working at the time gave me some great recommendations to which slices of pizza I would enjoybest and she nailed it! I'll definitely be returning whenever I am in the area. Read more
**UPDATE. Initially, I posted this review for the Esplanade location rather than the Lynn Valley location. The manager of the... Esplanade location, Ben, contacted me immediately (even though it was not his location that made the pizza). He offered anotherpizza to make up for our bad experience and within an hour, he hand-delivered it with a free order of cheesy bread. This was themost amazing customer service I've experienced in a very long time. The pizza from his location was absolutely amazing, loadedwith cheese and veggies. Sadly, I haven't heard a word from the manager of the Lynn Valley location -- not even an apology forthe bad pizza. Ben from Esplanade restored my faith in Freshslice -- I will never order from the Lynn Valley location againafter the awful food we received and the lack of communication by the manager. The manager of the Lynn Valley location reallyneeds to monitor the quality of food coming out of this branch. When a customer receives a pizza that looks like someone barfeda thin layer of tomato sauce and a few veggies onto a VEGGIE "FEAST" pizza, you're doing something very wrong. We gave Freshslicea try because their pizza was 16" and everybody else was 14", and their prices were very reasonable. Well, now we know why thepizzas are larger and cheaper -- the edge of the crust was 2 inches long (there goes the extra 2"). There was literally NOCHEESE. It was all sauce with a very small amount of veggie toppings. I love this Fresh Slice Pizza outlet. It is manned by some really lovely people who have worked there for a long time, and who... get to know what you like and make a concerted effort to make you a tasty pizza. Gluten free options are super. The taste issuper and the crust is quite thin. No dairy free cheese unfortunately, but they do have three options for vegetarian pizzaswhich are all delicious!
