This place is a must visit if you want Indian. Great hosts, good food and awesome vibe. Good portions are good and loved the way... they made adjustments for me. I came in with a scratch in my throat and they were happy to make all accommodations: low spice, glass of warm water and even a jaggery tea with ginger Read more

We did our research and it paid off! This place was fabulous, we got to try new dishes and savor our old favorites too. The... butter chicken wasn't over creamy, and it helped the spice and flavor stand out as a result. The service was outstanding (pleasenote we sat down later just after 8pm), the attentive staff was helpful, kind, informative and did not miss a beat. I loved thatthe dishes kept the meal hot, a true attestation to their service level. The wedding turbans at the entry were beautiful, thebackground on the name of the restaurant endearing (can you find it?). This will be a place we gladly share to others and worththe short trek north out of the city. Read more

Palki restaurant is east Indian restaurant. I go every Sunday they serve all you can eat brunch. Dinning in. Take out manu.... Delivery . Palki Indian Restaurant first opened the North Vancouver location in 2000 and has been serving loyal customers forthe past 13 years. Welcome to the North Vancouver Palki Restaurant . ‘Palki’ a tradition as old as the sub-continent we callIndia, Pakistan, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka. It is a carriage, painstakingly made of wood, and decorated with fine stones, intricate carving and adorned with fresh flowers and garlands. It is a vehicle we take on the most momentous journeys of ourlives, the one we call ‘Marriage’. The Palki also took Nobles and Kinsmen on important tours across the country. Fine Indiancuisine is a similar process. Carefully chosen spices and herbs come together in numerous delicacies both vegetarian andnon-vegetarian dishes. One only needs to look at the Menu to appreciate the versatility of traditions that stir up one’s tastebuds and leave a lingering taste in one’s mouth. Palki has been rated as one of the finest Indian Restaurants North Vancouverwith its unique decor, high quality dine-in experience, and reliable and tasty take out Indian food delivery service. Husband and wife who work here are miserable people (especially the husband who cannot help but death stare at the customers... from across the restaurant). Food is tasty but expensive compared to competing indian restaurants. The young people whooccasionally work there are nice but unfortunately it is usually the rude old man and his constantly annoyed/irritated wife whorun the floor. Will not be coming back, despite the tasty food. Instead of responding with something like "we are sorry blahblah blah", please just improve your attitudes. If you are sick of the business, stay home, do not take it out on customers. Read more

This is my go to place for Indian food on the north shore. Their buffet is a bit more expensive than most but the quality is... good. It's freshly made and the meat dishes have a lot of meat. It's unlike other places where you have to strain each spoonfulto get something solid. The butter chicken is made with sour cream without any additional thickeners and has choice pieces ofchicken and not random parts. I was surprised that they had beef curry. The vegetarian choices like Dal and Vegetable Korma areexcellent as well as the fresh naan bread served at your table. The food is not as spicy so you can invite friends. Covidupdate: They're open for a few seats of patio dining. They also have a Thali lunch combo for takeout. It's a really great setwith everything. But only available at lunch time. Read more

Visited this restaurant with coworker by accident as the other Indian restaurants in North Vancouver are closed for... reservations. Food was freshly prepared upon order and served hot. The staffs are very friendly and the place was clean. There’s no designated parking and so be prepared to find street parking especially during peak hours. Restaurant is too farfrom downtown and this is good place for someone to taste real indian food and escape from the fake ones in the city. Tandoorichicken, garlic naan and onion kulcha are must try items in their menu. Definitely visit again! Read more
