Reviews for Westview Oriental Restaurant in North Vancouver, BC

(Revised down from 5-star) Above-average food quality does not justify the exorbitant prices. On top of a $100 check (myself +... 2 teenage boys), the restaurant charges $1 (before tax & tip) for each flimsy to-go box. This is a neighborhood eatery thatisn't priced like one. I was a repeat customer - not anymore. Needing to pay extra to take leftovers home is an aberration. Read more

The traditional North American Chinese Food experience everyone knows and remembers. The extensive Dim Sum menu is what'll set... these guys head and shoulders above everyone else doing similar stuff. This place might be the best chinese food restaurant inall of north and west van. They've been around for many years and are easily accessible from the Westview exit of the #1 highwayhere in North Vancouver. The menu is very large and robust. Their dim sum selections often land them very high on top 10 dimsum places in all of the GVRD. I cannot rant greatly enough about the Dim Sum menu here. Everything on the menu is madeincredibly and you'll be back time and time again once you try it out. This place is busy almost any time of the day they'reopen for a reason, the food is so good! Staff seem relatively attentive but could be more on the ball. There are plenty ofkid-friendly options and lots of seating. The dining area has that classic Chinese restaurant feel you remember. The crowd isalmost always very family orientated. The dining area is nicely lit and there even a few private rooms you can book for biggergatherings. If you live in North or West Van, definitely swing through here for a lunch time Dim Sum feast. It'll be well worthit! Read more

Vancouver and Richmond are the places to be when one has a hankering for Dim Sum. However when one is in the North Shore, there... are a few places that one can try. I have had Dim Sum from Westview a few years ago and it was better than a few places. As weheaded off to West Van, I figured we could stop here for food. It wasn't as busy as I would expect and the menu had pictures ofwhat one can order. Har Gow was fair, not too salty, and the dough was fine. However the Siu Mai is rough to chew. It's reallydense for some reason. Would I go again? Sure. Why not? Read more

Honestly I was surprised that North Vancouver would have such decent authentic dim sum. My only advice, don't order the siu mai.... Although a typical staple dim sum here it was dense and the server told me pork was like that ???? aside from that everythingelse was pretty good. Definitely will do it again Read more

Welcoming staff and quick attentive servers. We tried special fried rice, ribs, chicken with cashew and spicy beans. All tasted... good. Portions were quite large so although around $20 a dish, there was plenty to eat. Maybe not the best food on the NorthShore but still good. Very convenience so close to Highway 1 and plenty of parking. Will return sometime. Read more

We got the dinner for four plus an order of hot and sour soup to go and there was a lot of food! We had quite a bit left over. ... Good flavours. Prices are fair. Read more

Great to be back! Having been away from this restaurant for a few years, I?m happy to be back to find their dim sum is as good... as ever! Especially, their shrimp dumplings are out standing and I also love their HK Style Fried Noodles! Service is alwaysfriendly and efficient! During COVID-19 their social distancing arrangement has been outstanding too! Please look at the photosand you will understand! Plenty of parking at the Mall, best to call ahead if it?s the weekend!
