I finally visited the Tex Mex Connection after working half a block away for over six years, and smelling the delicious scents... that waft out of this place. Anyways, I was not disappointed with my visit. We sat in the upstairs eating area and werequickly waited on. Our server took good care of us, making sure that our drinks were refilled when needed. The food was verygood, starting with the chips and salsa. We had some wings for an appetizer, as well as the bacon wrapped coconut shrimp, andthey were all terrific. Our meals took a little bit to arrive, but we had plenty of food already. Everyone in my party likedtheir food. I had a half rack of ribs and french fries. The ribs were cooked well and had a ton of meat on them, but the meatwas a bit dry. I didn't like the sauce they put on the ribs, as it was more of a salsa type of sauce, instead of a traditionalbarbecue sauce and the flavor just wasn't right for me. My fiancé and I had made a reservation for 7:30pm on Saturday night. We had never been to Tex Mex before so it was a little... confusing on where to go. I should have read the reviews or asked who had referred me to here. Eventually we stopped a serverand asked where we needed to go and he kindly showed us upstairs. Unfortunately, our table wasn't clear from the previousreservation, and we had to wait. The hostess was very kind and apologetic and informed us of the wait, she did comp us withouthesitation, which was unexpected and so nice. We ended up waiting until almost 8pm to be seated, no problem. All staff on deckwas working hard and I didn't mind the wait. Our server was very sweet and apologetic as well. Great service, delicious food! Ihad the mango margarita, which was delicious. I'm not sure how someone drinks more than one, they are quite strong. I doagree the parking situation is tough, we ended up parking in a lot across the street. Not sure if it was really allowed but didnot see any towing signs up or we wouldn't have parked there. Prices have gone up... Which stinks. I don't blame them though. The tuna tacos are to die for!!!! Margaritas are famous... But... don't go past one or two.. definitely not 3 unless you are not driving home. Read more
Don’t sleep on the homemade pickled jalapeños and chipotle sauce.
Great food, great service. Appetizer took 1+ hour, so the server comped it. Not that we expected it, bc the 4 of us were having... a great time reconnecting after not seeing each other for so long. The server was great other than that too. Some dinner entreesseemed way overpriced while some seemed underpriced. Lastly, TexMex might want to change up their to-go boxes. The ones we gotwere wet and soggy on bottom within a day. Felt like the leftover food was going to fall through the bottom. Read more
I went there for an early dinner with work colleagues and right off the bat, their chips, queso, guacamole and salsa won me... over! Very delicious and the server kept bringing us more. We ordered a pitcher of margherita and two thumbs up for how well itwas made. We ended up ordered a ton of stuff for entrees and their service was super quick and quality of food - finger lickinggood! I highly recommend going here! I brought a group of women here after we went to a wine tasting to get a solid meal in our system. We went in back in March. The... waitress was very rude to us so we spoke with the manager. The excuse was she was new and was still learning, which wasunacceptable as an excuse. I will say she did constantly apologize to us once we went to her manager, but that leaves a nastytaste in your mouth. The food was delicious as well as the drinks. I had chicken tacos thinking what worng goes with chicken tacos... but this worst chicken taco I had in my life... it doesn't... have test and over cooked chicken. .. based on the quality of food I think its really over priced. Read more
