Fancy Franks ,is it so Fancy? I just discovered that they had opened a shop at Lawrence & Avenue road so I decided to stop in. I... went pretty simple on this by ordering the Just Frank combo, as I was waiting for my order I noticed a board above the door onthe wall that they have daily $5 special wish I had seen this before placing my order. My order came to $15 which I found atad pricey since my dog wasn't really very gourmet, any way the order came up and you only get a choice of 4 topping, onions,sauerkraut, banana peppers and one other that I cant recall, not great to limit your customers like that since what I reallywanted was some fresh toppings like lettuce, tomato and few other things( which they had in a display case, but probablyreserved for burgers) so bottom line I couldn't customize my plain dog to be a bit more "fancy". Anyway I took the bananapeppers and some sauces, the hotdog it self tasted good, the casing had that snap that you want in a hot dog and the bun niceand soft but beware if you go crazy on saucing up your dog the bun will fall apart. Good food, friendly service, lots to choose from on the menu, and the prices are reasonable. We enjoyed the burger just as much... if not more than the hot dog, fries could have been a bit crispier for the poutine, but the onion rings were perfectly goldencrispy. Despite some people liking the huge hot dog buns, I thought it was a bit too bread-y and overpowers the hot dog. Maycheck it out again because it's very new to the hood. Read more
Ordered through Uber eats and it was the first time trying this restaurant. I?m not sure if it was the restaurant or the... delivery but the food came absolutely stone cold (it took over an hour to get here) I ordered the texi mexi and the coneyisland, after trying a few bites of each I could tell right away it wasn't good and very very oily.
