Grabbed some Basil Fried rice. No taste, dry. I have has this plate for years, fist time regretting it

After ordering chicken, fried rice and vegetables we got a full plate of rice with very little chicken and few pieces of carrot.... Food was kind of tasteless and the menu was decieving. The pictures had very little to do with what arrived. Too bad, thepictures looked so yummy :( Read more

Told me it's the same as always. Was slimy and had dark black spots all over it. He said its because the sauce is dark. I've had... this exact meal dozens of times if not more at tons of locations. First time ever at Thai Express anywhere.I was in Bayview Village and saw a long line of people so I went in.Each meal is... prepared for every customer and spiced to your preference.Most mall places have bins warmed by chafing dishes.Every meal wasdone separately so it took about 10 minutes.The spicing was spot on and I know now that other locations will work in a similarfashion so I will not hesitate to order from them again.Portions are average size for a food court.Bayview Village is anexpensive mall so expect anything to be priced a bit higher than other malls food courts or businesses as a result.Just under$20. for the meal and a 500 ml drink of bottled pop.I will be sure to look for this chain now in other malls as I know the foodis well made, made per person and spiced as you ask them to prepare. Yes, I know that posting a single star to this popular franchise is brutal. Do they deserve it? No, they deserve zero stars.... Thai Express, Bayview Village Mall comes by it honestly because unfortunately 3 days later and I'm still nauseous. Here's thehistory of that fateful lunch. I wanted a large soup with noodles and beef. There was no delay, it came quickly. They evenshouted at me that it was ready. The noodles were nice but the broth was unlike any broth I've ever ordered. Still though, nomajor problem deserving only one star. Not anyways until I can across what was supposed to be a piece of beef. Not! This thingpretending to be beef had a hard piece of gristle attached to it that was simply alien. My soup was down about an inch at most.I carried it up to the woman who originally served me. I explained nicely and respectfully what I found in my soup. Sheimmediately became miserable. She did not speak with me, nor did she apologize. She decided I couldn't be right so she took itto the men in the back. She returned to me at the cash and just looked at me as if I was an alien. I realized I had to do thespeaking. I was prepared to give them a second chance. There was no way I would risk having their so-called meat si I askedfor an Eggplant stir-fry. Obviously much cheaper than the large bowl of soup but she gave me no refund and again no refund andno attempt to explain. She presented me with a side bowl of stir-fry and kept my money! The eggplant was was sad and I wasstarving. It took me all of 3 minutes to eat my vegetables. My original dish returned almost intact was about $16.00 and thetiny stir-fry about $7.00. Okay, I cannot give Thai Express Bayview Village Mall ZERO stars but one thing I can do is to NEVERreturn.Thats my story and I'm sticking to it. Stay far away from these people. This location was disorganized and messed up our order unfortunately. They replaced our pad see ew with a rice dish that was... really dry, and we had to come back for our pandan iced tea. We didn?t recognize the shrimp tom yum soup bc it was very blandand only had 2 pieces of shrimp in it? overall given that they gave us the wrong items that we ordered and we had to makeanother trip back to pick up something they missed, we wouldn?t come back.
