This place USED to be great. Now you pay more for far less. The ?famous? greek salad has slid further and further into... mediocrity over the years. No more green onions, rusty grey lettuce, few meager tomatoes (last one we ordered felt like it wasmade 2 days ago). Its sad when once great places take their loyal customers for granted. Absolutely love this classic Jewish dairy diner! Best food ever, their blinces and pea soup is legendary! And also try their mac... and cheese. And their tuna is amazing. And also the potato soup! When we went today our waitress Flora could not be nicer ormore friendly! Food came so fast and all the staff there were amazing - bringing us take away soup really quick and clearingtable space so we could fit more plates on the table. This place is not just a restaurant, it feels more like a community. I'vecome here with my family since I was a kid and I can't wait to come here with my own family one day. Read more

Today I have been there for the first time for brunch after a tiring and hard morning. The ambience, the service and the food... really cheered us up. Come on. What?s not to love about this Toronto Jewish institution. The famous pea soup lives up to its reputation alone. Never... leave without a full tub of the good stuff.
