I am still deciding if I like this place or not, so I'll go for 4 stars for now. So far, I think that some of their noodles are... quite good, very authentic. I loved the Zhajiang mian (noodles), really good! I wanted to try their popcorn chicken, but amisunderstanding with the waitress left us without that dish. The sweet/bbq eggplant dish tasted a bit too fried for me (it mademe feel like I was eating something too unhealthy) Read more

We especially enjoyed the congee, turnip cake, scallion pancake and boba tea. Taiwanese dishes are not known for strong flavors... but a mix of delicate flavors and fresh ingredients. We were happy we found this restaurant! Read more

A great and authentic Taiwanese restaurant. Hakka stir fired and oyster pan cake are great. The only drawback is that they are... short of staffs so the waiting time is long. Read more

Excellent and outstanding Taiwanese cuisine. Restaurant super clean and comfortable. Super helpful customer service. Menu has... many diverse choices. I had the beef and red bell pepper fried rice and it was off the chart delicious. I also had the vegetablespring rolls for an appetizer and they also were fresh and delicious. The iced passion fruit green iced tea I had with my mealwas also delicious and refreshing. If you visit Northampton in the Bay State you absolutely must visit T. Root for the bestTaiwanese cuisine you will ever find anywhere. Super highly recommended. Read more

Really good food. I ordered the stewed beef soup & dang! The meat is melt in your mouth! The broth is flavorful & was not overly... spicy for me. Ordered the radish cakes & they were superbly balanced. Took veggie congee home for a second meal & it smellsgreat. Looking forward to it. Inside was sparce & a little odd, like they weren't fully transitioned to dine in after covid. The service was fast & friendly tho & all parts went well. There were alot of ppl in/out for pickup. Definitely more things onthe menu I wanted to order. Read more

This is a Taiwanese restaurant in Northampton near Smith College. It was clean inside and the food came out really fast. The... food itself was okay, but not spectacular. However, I would give it a try since everyone's expectations are different. Read more

My friend and I stumbled on this place and had dinner here before attending a show at Academy of Music. The food was delicious... and affordable. There are some authenticly Taiwanese dishes and drinks here, like the stir-fried rice cakes amd boba tea. Fortwo entrees, an appetizer, and two drinks, our total was just over $50. The lady at the counter was very friendly and providedterrific service. I definitely recommend this place and I look forward to trying more dishes here. Read more

Food was soooo good! I recommend having the beef stewed noodle soup (spicy). It was our favorite plate. This was our first time... having Taiwanese food and we were blown away. They have good prices too. You eat good and support a local business! Read more
