This review is for my first visit to Homestead. The ambience was a bit more laid back than I expected. It felt a bit more like a... bar and was a little loud, but relaxed. We had the octopus, Caesar salad, fusilli, and the fatto a mano. The Caesar salad wasextremely well prepared and tasty, with just the right amount of pepper. The pastas were fresh and excellent. last dinner in Northampton was savory and very filling. Had 2 pastas, 1 appetizer, 2 desserts for 3 people. Great portions for... sharing, get the focaccia! Read more

The food here was really good, and I love the owner's attitude toward taking care of his kitchen staff by adding 5% to the bill.... The timing of food delivery however, is off. We ordered cocktails and our food at the same time. I'd expect the cocktails to bedelivered and be given a bit of time to enjoy them, but our focaccia and salad came 2 minutes later. Then we waited about 35minutes for our "main" courses. The restaurant could also use some acoustic panels, or some other noise dampening decor as wecouldn't hear each other, even though there were only two of us and the restaurant was only 1/2 full inside. The wait staff alsoseemed to be literally running by constantly which was a distraction to our meal. Read more

We started the night by being brought to what I’d consider the worst table in the restaurant when there were plenty of other... tables available. When we asked for the table by the window (which was more out of the way and may have been in a quieter areaso we could talk), the young “hostess” went off in a huff. She then came back and told us we couldn't have the table wewanted because they only were only able to accommodate three at that table. However, there were four chairs with settings forfour. When we were leaving she sat four people there. Maybe we weren't young enough for the front window. The hard surfacescreated so much noise we could barely hear each other. The food was just okay. The appetizers were boring! The meatballsdidn’t have a good flavor and were served with an acidic tomato sauce. My pasta dish was dry with very little flavor. Mymartini was small for the price and not properly chilled. Our waitperson was lovely! Sadly, after hearing good things about thisplace, I have to say it was not worth the time, money and calories! I would never recommend this restaurant! Read more

Great beer selection, tons of other fun drink options, a chill atmosphere with great service. I willabsolutely be back, and I highly recommend it! Read more

My partner and I went here for our anniversary and it did not disappoint. The vibe was very comfortable with classic design and... nothing pretentious. Our young server was excellent, knowledgable and friendly in an authentic way. The food was creative andabsolutely delicious. Would definitely return. It's not cheap but you get what you pay for at Homestead. Read more

Fresh creative, dishes in a comfortable, if not a bit loud, atmosphere. Would have been 5 stars if all 5 of the dishes we... ordered to share had not come at the same time. Read more

I enjoyed the mid August heat (in August) by pairing a glass of rosé with shishito peppers. Their food is both simple and... thoughtful the way it should be IMO. Pleasant waitstaff too. Would like to see better wine by the glass to choose from but I getit that it’s maybe hard to maintain due to Covid's impact on restaurants.
