Great American Chinese mom & pop restaurant with limited seating. When I arrived to pick up food, the front entrance seemed... closed. I had an orange chicken lunch with pork fried rice. For an overall comparison, I'd compare them to be roughly on parwith China Style (Hunan) over by Lake Zurich. The food arrived hot and steamy. The orange chicken actually tasted like therewas orange in it instead of some kind of overly sweet syrup. There's fair portions for the price, but I'd personally bump up thepricing for the sake of passing that $10 CC limit. (For convenience) I'd also invest just a little bit more on the plasticutensils, but you do you. I opted into having some spicy pork fried rice but I think I might've been unlucky today. It's lessspicy than lao gan ma. Pretty tasty though, the side noodles were a great addition to lap up the rest of the orange chickensauce. Read more
Placed my order today 8/28/22 @ 3:44 p.m. to be ready by 5:15. Went to the rest at 5:15 food wasn't ready. 8 people were... waiting the duration while I was there, some an hr or more. The young kid at the desk said at 5:35 my order was ready but thewoman needed to pack it. Ended up waiting till 5:50. Woman came out and said your order was done long time ago, someonemust've taken it. Ridiculous! If you can't fulfill an order or on time just be honest. I was there for almost an hr and saw theorders being confirmed by you or the kid. Door Dash stated it was never processed in the system. Sticking with Golden Star,never disappoints. Read more
Incorrect order and no refund! We will never recommend this place to anyone. We've specifically requested vegetarian noodles... take out and repeated the order twice. We were exceptionally clear on our dietary needs, but discovered both pork and chicken inour meal. We called to remedy the situation and were told that if we want to receive a refund for this dish, we will need todrive back and bring the noodles. Unacceptable business practice. Read more
CHECK THIS PLACE OUT! Just got takeout here for the 1st time & let me tell you it did not disappoint! The tofu eight delight is... my new favorite dish. The orange chicken is also a must - made with real oranges. This food was made with love & I will beback! Told me 40 min, took almost 1.5 hrs. I would have not been mad if told me 1.5 hrs. Hot and sour soup good, rest of dishes we... got had no flavor, very bland. Read more
Food is fresh and hot. In a blink of an eye everything was on my table. Mongolian beef was a nice dish. Spring rolls are crispy... and delicious. Price is fair and affordable. Service is good. Read more
