I go here often. I love the Food. I love the service. But today.!, I called in my usual order of Chicken Tortilla soup (mmmm) &... an order of Rice. I was asked if I wanted salsa & that if would be a charge of $.25(?). I say Salsa comes w/this order as I buythis once or twice a week when the soups in season. The guy on the phone tell me to speak to the lady when I get there. So I getthere & tell the lady at the register about the salsa & she's say's "We don't get the salsa for free" & totally disconnectsfrom me. She drops my change in my hand while looking over me to wait on the person behind me. I'm shocked, Like: "not my sweetfriend"! who always call me Honey or Sweetie! I say "wait how do i get change back I ordered Chicken Tortilla Soup & Rice". Soshe rings up the Rice, that wasn't included over the phone & Salsa comes w/it. I really thought the whole Mexican foodexperience is the delicious fresh Salsa. Dang, I'm a little hurt behind this because I love this homey place. & I still can'tgive them less than 4 stars. I?ve been here three times now?. I love the atmosphere. Staff is very friendly & establishment reminds me of visiting family in... Mexico. I love the chorizo & papa tacos & their agua frescas. Def a hidden gem found with in this small plaza. I recommendanyone who drives by the area?.stop in, order some tacos & enjoy the experience! Read more
Atmosphere is really nice. Especially considering it?s in a strip mall. Food was meh.
I hate disappearing reviews so let's do this again! La Taquiza is a family run restaurant and I believe they have 2 other... locations. I frequent the Northbrook location as it's closer to our house. We have been coming here for many years and wealways get good service and never had a bad experience with the employees. Now is it the best taco place in the world no, but itis a very solid place to grab a quick bite to eat at a reasonable price. We will continue to come here and my kids have startedto enjoy it so many more years to come from our family. Read more
Gross tacos that have no flavor. I walk in and the place smells like bleach. They couldn't explain their own menu so good luck... getting an explanation. Asked them if lime was in the bag and they said yes. Guess what it wasn't there. This place is a joke.Taco dinners are worse than their order taking. The asada tacos were just salty and had no other taste. Go to another place. Read more
Wow. That was the best burrito bowl I?ve ever had. This place is what Chipotle wishes it was. What they lack in indoor seating,... they more than make up for with fresh ingredients and artistic presentation?which was no surprise with the influence of FridaKahlo?s work prevalent on the walls. La Taquiza is an absolute gem and I couldn?t recommend it more highly. Read more
Very Stingy Place, They charge for extra sauces and their Taco's are super small compared to the prices paid. The quality of... food and portions are poor quality with too much fat contents. Taco Tuesday is a joke, it?s mini tacos size and smaller thanregular tacos. You get what you paid for. Read more
