Came in on a Friday evening and they had some great live music from a guy on an acoustic guitar. Prime rib was great. Ribeye was... cooked more than what I asked for, but acceptable. My wife and I dined here late in the afternoon on a Sunday, and it wasn't too crowded. With inviting, frontier-inspired decor, a... mix of country music, and the aromas of delicious food, entering Black Angus felt like home away from home. The Steak and DijonSalmon was perfectly cooked. The 8oz. top sirloin steak (medium rare) was tender and flavorful, and the creamy Dijon saucecomplemented the salmon without overpowering it. I had potatoes au gratin and steak soup as my sidekicks, and they were both upto the task. To drink, my wife had praises for her Bloody Mary, and I enjoyed all three cups of my black coffee. Our server,Danielle, was on top of it, despite the rush when we first arrived, and made us feel so welcome and cared for. One of the best happy hour menues around. With half-off their full size appetizers, its easy to make an entire meal out of their... happy hour menu for a great overall deal. Not gonna lie the food was great! Went there last Friday, But all of that got forgotten by the bitterness of being charged 3... times. The waitress was never rude but she also did swipe the card 3 times before the bank had to block it was not until thathappened that she finally came back to inform about the issue, checked the bank and 2 transactions from Black Angus had gonethrough, she went and brought the manager and even after acknowledging the bank transactions he still asked us to pay a thirdtime with some other form of payment, he said sorry for your charges but since they couldn't make the computer print then we hadto be charged again but that he would call on Monday to get the issue fix, well its now Thursday and it took talking tocorporate with very nice lady, Jacquie Manager of Guest relations, the bank, and several confirmation calls after that the extratransactions were able to be refunded. The entire thing was managed very poorly with something that could of been cleared upafter the first swipe and by checking the transaction on the bank. Might take another risk because the food was great but willmake sure I pay cash to avoid all of that stress again. Read more
Except for the fact that our waitress was training someone and we had an appetizer and salads on table at same time, the food... was very good and so was the service. Couple of glitches. We had an appetizer, salad, our entrees with sides and dessert. Oh,and the bread which was warm and fresh. My husband had prime rib 8 oz and loaded baked potato with asparagus. While I hadchicken, mashed potatoes, and salad. We had fried zucchini for an appetizer and a chocolate chip cookie with a scoop of icecream for dessert. The food was good and our company was good.
