This place is so dirty and old ?.very strange yellow color on my chicken, my salad ???? not fresh
The only think I did like was the salad. I liked it because of the croutons and dressing, it tasted good so I was expecting very... good burgers. I got an original big boy combo, it was like a big mac, a double decker burger with a red relish. It wasn't badbut not very good either. The buns were not toasted and that's something that I don't like but I guess there's people that likeit. The bacon cheeseburger had a bigger patty and bun It looked good at first sight but it was honestly very blend. We orderedit medium well but we got a well done, dry burger that seemed to be sitting there like an hour before we arrived, and the baconlooked very old too. We also got a hot dog for my daughter and it was just a plain hot dog, wasn't expecting much anyway. Iliked the fries when they came they were crispy and good but after a few minutes I didn't liked them anymore, I think it wasbecause of the experience we had with the burgers. I did complain about it because there was no people at the time and noexcuse for cooking our food wrong. I talked to the waiter and she told me she was going to tell "them" about it. After a fewminutes she came back with my bill and told they gave me a discount wich was 4 dollars. I wasn't asking for free food butexpected a better customer service since it's a famous place, it was our first time there and honestly they gave us food theyshould have disposed. So disappointed to see this location go completely downhill. I remember when it first opened. Now the lights illuminating the... sign outside are only half working, the booth seats are all torn up, and the register area looks like a swap meet filled withkids toys. I had to ask our waitress to have someone sweep the floor because there was a bone and debris on the floor. I wasfearful someone would slip and fall. Countless employees just walked right by as if it was not even there. Our meal wasexceptional and the service was great. BUT what happened? I hope in time this place will return to its originalglory. Did a take out order. Waited 10 minutes before anyone went to the front counter. When I went to investigate 3 employees were... standing in the back eating and laughing. I was so disappointed at how unkept it was. The doors and showcase were filthy, aswere the partitions between seats. The counter held a place for the sale of shirts and they were just thrown there.Sloppy!!!!!! A little soap and water would do wonders. Who lets their front doors entering their business be filthy. Regular diner experience. Basic food done well. We ordered the patty melt, fried chicken platter and an orange cream shake. The... fried chicken was different from usual fried chicken..different kind of batter and had a crust to it, almost as if it was putonto the black top after the fryer. Not overly greasy or heavy. Always a great meal at this throwback restaurant. The servive is hit and miss, but for those of us who remember the good old... days at these eateries and their signature food, it is worth returning. I highly recommend their breakfast and the Big Boy Comboif you are new to this place. Read more
For those of you who have never been, Bob's is famous for their double deck hamburger ????. On this occasion we had the Pappys... fried chicken ???? and I was disappointed, the chicken was dry,. The chicken plate came with 2 sides; I chose fruit and mixedveggies which were very good. The ice cream shakes are huge and delicious. Just a strip mall burger joint playing on a great name. Nothing like the location in Burbank. Better options out there. I gave 3... stars for out waitress because she tried but the person seating us could care less and reminded us they close in 90 minutes... Read more
