As someone that walks from Cleveland HS to my apartment passing this place a lot of the time, I have to say that this place is... not bad. I ordered something basic like a carne asada burrito. I open the bag to a lukewarm burrito (less larger than expectedbut appropriate in portion) with some nachos and salsas. Rice and beans were cooked consistently while the meat is tender. You guys have to check out Castillo. I've eaten there three times, had unique menu items each time, and have always been... satisfied. Normally I leave a long and detailed review, but I've been under the weather for a few days and so this review willbe a bit shorter than usual. Disregard that as I'm telling you, this restaurant is legit regardless of my review. The meatprovided is always tender, well-cooked, no scary cartilage found within. Great meat. The plates are loaded up with guacamole,sour cream, salsa and lettuce. Accompanying is rice and refried beans. Absolutely perfect. Everything tasted fresh anddelicious. Small eatery in a strip mall. Good portions and decent quality but flavor is average,nothing exceptional. I had the Chile Verde... dinner and my husband had the chicken fajitas. The Chile verde pork chunks were not consistent, some were tender and sometough. The Chicken Fajitas was cooked ok and had a good amount of peppers and onions. The staff was nice and accommodating ,since i wanted spicy they grilled some Serrano Peppers on the side for me, and that was much appreciated. Read more
Love this place. The service is quick, responsive, and kind. The food is warm and rich in flavor. Authentic Mexican food, not... Americanized. Most of the patrons are Hispanic themselves, and the owner has pride in his business. They've been here since2004 and seem to always have a regular flow of customers. The space is inviting and comfortable, with many booth seatsavailable. I have had the chorizo breakfast burrito and a chicken burrito. Both came with rice and beans, and had a greatbalance of flavors. The salsa bar has pico de Gallo, red salsa (salsa roja), and jalepenios. But you can ask for the greensalsa (salsa verde). Read more
