This was our first time dining at Gus’s and not only was the food absolutely scrumptious, but the customer service was superb... and reminiscent of that southern charm you hear about. I can’t emphasize enough how kind and attentive every single wait staffwas, and there were multiple people servicing our table throughout our entire dining experience. We felt so welcomed to bethere! Now, about the food—if I could give this place 10 stars, it still wouldn’t be enough! ???? EVERYTHING was delicious!We started with spinach dip w/ fresh chips and salsa and an order of the onion strings, and the freshness was evident in everysingle bite. You can tell that they make the chips in house, which were so flaky and crunchy, you can enjoy them without dippingthem in a anything at all. The onion strings were so well seasoned and didn’t leave that oily residue you often see when foodis cooked without allowing the oil to get hot enough first. They were sooo yummy! ?? we also wanted to try their grits (Iknow—super random…lol), which had a creamed corn flavor. Since I’m not a fan of that flavor, I didn’t favor this dishhowever, I’m certain others would enjoy it. My husband and son had the Gus’s burger with fries and proclaimed it to be oneof the best burgers they’ve had in a while. My daughter and I had the chicken and waffles. The waffles were so light andfluffy that we didn’t feel guilt for devouring every morsel of it! Lol! The chicken though??? INCREDIBLE! I’m hard to pleasewhen it comes to restaurant fried chicken but this chicken was sooooo well seasoned and moist all the way through and cooked toperfection. It’s very difficult to find restaurant fried chicken breasts that are cooked thoroughly while maintaining thecrispy skin and incredibly moist meat, but this restaurant nailed it! Was kind of forced to go here by hubby as he is a meat guy. I was surprised! Food was very good. We shared a dish consisting of... two meats. I had the fried chicken - so tender and crispy. Very reasonable prices and nice atmosphere too. Nice for lunch andfamily dinner! Read more

First time here. This place, in my opinion, is the best BBQ restaurant around. The food is Delicious, the service was... phenomenal, The Presentation is Beautiful, and Every detail of each meal was perfect. Even the House salad was special withFresh roasted and Candied peanuts and blue cheese crumbles. The Pulled pork sandwich is perfect, cornbread was literally freshmade, and the chicken fried steak reminded me of my grandma's from Arkansas. Except it wasn't greasy. That's a plus for me.Yummmmm. I ordered the sauce for the Pulled pork sandwich on the side. This way, you can try all Their Homemade sauces likeCarolina Gold, regular, and spicy BBQ sauce. My favorite was Carolina gold. Great experience, the staff was friendly and we were seated quickly. The waiter gave recommendations for the beer "Saber tooth... IPA" and the Tir Tip sandwich was excellent, the shrimp and grits were also very good. A great BBQ spot. Read more

It was an enjoyable experience and I think I'd go back. The chicken was surprisingly tender and juicy and the ribs were... fall-off-the-bone soft. I'm not sure it's a good representation of Memphis style BBQ but I really have no complaints. Read more
