It was an amazing experience overall. The atmosphere and the ambiance were amazing. It was a pretty big surprise to find this... type a place where it seems like nothing from outside. The staff was super nice, the food for the most part was delicious. Thereason it's not a 5 is that some of the dishes were not up to the level. As an example the seafood ceviche had only shrimp andsquid while it usually comes with a big more of a variety, and it was missing the flavor, especially that it was missing thejalapeños that their menu said it had. The fried red snapper didn't really have much of the flavor, the salad it came with hadway more flavor. And another bit is the service is pretty slow so allow yourself more time when going in. Was working in Connecticut, so I stayed at a local hotel. It was almost 9pm, so most places were closed. I was really in the... mood for tacos or quesadillas, so I tried this place out. It was a short walk from the hotel, and one of the few places stillopen. The host directed me to the bar. It was a nice crowd, very friendly atmosphere. I ordered a margarita. It was pretty good.The menu had a good selection. Decided to try the ceviche. It was good, a very New England take on it, topped with avacado. Thefood was very good. What an incredible restaurant in such a non-assuming strip mall storefront. Don't let its location fool you this restaurant was... a home-run! Our food was OUTSTANDING. The best steak I've had in years and my mother said her shrimp dish was incredible! Theguacamole & plantain chips were excellent. The staff was friendly, courteous and prompt with serving. The atmosphere wascomfortable, lively and felt "tropical". Really cannot say enough good about this place. We were out of town for business andthis happened to be next to our hotel. Excellent service, cool atmosphere, and AMAZING food! The Arroz Con Pollo with Jasmine rice, shredded chicken sofrito, chorizo,... green peas, citrus cabbage slaw, and sweet plantains is probably one of my favorite dishes to order when I visit CT. This is a really good place to go to. Food is absolutely delicious. You really can?t go wrong on selecting any of the dishes.... Drinks are good too. Service is excellent. May be pricey on some of the dishes but comparable to other places. Parking no issue.I tried the Cubano and it was tasty. Overall, can?t go wrong on trying this place. Read more
