We found this place on google reviews. Super cool vibe! Legit Japanese food. I love they have lots of drink options. Appetizers... and salad are small portion but unique and delicious. Ramen broth was fresh and tasty. Tonkotsu was the best! Read more

The ginkoubai spicy plum wine is delicious, so is the boba. They have a variety of japanese food: rice dishes, sushi, ramen,... etc. Food is yummy, plates are fairly small but filling. Ramen is a big bowl though. Indoor and outdoor seating available. Read more

Being Japanese myself, I’ve been having a bit of a frustrating time finding good sushi in Fairfield County. Haruki seemed... slightly more authentic than many other local spots so we gave it a shot. We ordered edamame, pork gyoza, karaage chicken, negitoro temaki, Wagyu nigiri, and the nigiri sushi set. The edamame had some sort of sauce and garlic all over it, which Ifound tasty but inconvenient, as edamame is usually eaten by hand. Sometimes less is more, and I would have appreciated nosauce/garlic and just some salt. Karaage chicken was a highlight! Super tender and also crunchy on the outside. Pork gyozawere a dud. Lacked flavor and the gyoza wrap was an odd texture. Negitoro temaki were good however I would hardly call themtemaki. Temaki literally means “hand roll” and usually comes in a cone-shaped nori roll. What we got was cubes of rice andnegitoro and small pieces of nori that you could eat them with. Again, it was good, but I wouldn’t call it temaki. Wagyunigiri was delicious! It was $11 for only two pieces but that’s Wagyu for you. Nigiri sushi set was yummy, large pieces offish, good sushi rice. The unagi was a highlight. Beer on tap wasn’t working which was a bit disappointing. Got the“Momo” cocktail which was surprisingly large, strong, and tasty. The space was very cute and cozy and wasn’t crowded on aFriday night. Overall a good time and we’ll be back! Read more

The last few days of summer are among us which means it's almost officially ramen season (not that that's ever stopped me... before!) Finally got the chance to check out Haruki Ramen and Izakaya and their food was amazing. This spot is intended to beone of those places where you relax and have a drink with friends along with some yummy small plates (Izakaya is essentiallyJapanese tapas). We tried a bunch of things but my favorite item from the Izakaya menu was definitely the Agedashi Tofu. This isdeep-fried tofu and seasonal mushrooms in soy-dashi broth, topped with smoky bonito flakes. And of course, I had to get a bowlof the Tonkotsu ramen. The chashu was so incredibly tender, it basically falls apart when you eat it! Read more

Quinton was my server (and also the General Manager). He made EXCELLENT suggestions for food, and Sake parings, as it was my... first time here. The chef personally came to my table twice to ask if I had any questions and to make sure my food was amazing(and it was). I ordered a few appetizers and their own spicy tuna roll. Excellent atmosphere, food and staff. I highly recommendthis restaurant. Read more

I stopped in here for happy hour on a Friday afternoon while visiting the area. We were able to find parking right outside at a... meter and walk in. There was plenty of seating at the bar and their happy hour drinks and food were great. The regular pricedpork bao was also amazingly reasonable at $4. The ramen broth was rich and delicious and our bartender was very knowledgeableand friendly. I'd definitely recommend a stop in. Read more
