I was a regular customer before moving out of the area.. while visiting Norwalk for work, stopped in early morning for a cup of... coffee and what I expected was a freshly baked warm croissant.. coffee was good but a place like Sono Baking shouldn?t reallysell croissant from the day before to save couple bucks.. it is definitely not going to make any financial difference.. it tookone time to undo years of positive experience.. Solidly just ok. Got the breakfast croissant sandwich and the croissant was bready and not very flaky. The oatmeal chocolate... chip cookie was quite bland. The sourdough loaf was relatively cheap and decent. Prices were very reasonable, though. Read more
I LOVE THIS CAFE!!!!! I?m from New York but whenever I visit Norwalk I have to go eat there. Their food is amazing specially... their breakfast, their coffee and mochas are bomb and they have a great selection of tea. Their customer service is great. Based on my recent visit, I reduced the number of stars to 3 unfortunately. The food quality has been degraded and service was... not satisfactory. Buritto sandwich has been one of my favorites until today. Something has changed in the recipe that made it abit watery and less tasty. Same to the omlettes. Regarding the service, stuff french toast was one of the items we ordered andwe received the regular one instead served by the same lady who took our order. I told her that order was incorrect and herresponse instead of apologizing was "no that is what you ordered and the other was is more expensive". Really? It the responseyou are giving to your customer? Instead of apologizing and trying to do something to fix the mistake? She eventually changedour order but it will certainly remained in our memory. Not the place to get a BEC. Either the eggs, the bacon, or something was too salty and the sandwich had too much butter. It's a... nice spot and the location is great but not really a fan of this place. They've done me dirty with the salt when I've gottenbreakfast there. Pastries look tasty so I still have an open mind towards it. Read more
