First time in a very long time at A&W. Had the Beyond Meat Burger, which was very good. We enjoyed our meal there.
Stopped at the Norwood A and W enroute to Ottawa. It's a beautiful sunny fall day, but it was so cold inside I had to go out... and get a coat to put over my sweatshirt (and I was still cold). Only 2 booths utilized, but our poutine was barely warm, letalone hot, and our wraps looked like they just threw the ingredients together like it was taco in a bag. So strange. It was 11AM, not busy, nothing else going on...not sure what to make of that. Service was friendly, just super poor food presentation. Went through the drive through and ordered two papa burgers exactly the same . I repeated the order slowly three times and was... assured it would be made to my specifications. Got my burgers and of course they were absolutely wrong . Went into the store toget it rectified and was offered the missing condiments on their own. That was I guess to save time and it really was not anissue. However when the cashier went to get my pickles onions and tomatoes she didn?t wash her hands . She just stuck her handscertainly quite dirty from handling cash and touching the screen right into the vegetables . She put them in containers andpresented them to me . I took them and said I guess you didn?t wash your hands before touching these did you ? She just stoodthere speechless hopefully someone realized (doubtful ) that she had in fact contaminated the condiments going into futureorders by her actions . Anyway I was not surprised that my order was wrong it happens quite often. However the unsanitary foodhandling was totally unacceptable. Read more
Way too expensive for what you receive. We have only been to this location twice. The first time, a few months ago, the food was... mediocre at best. The chicken strips were hard, like they had been sitting out under a hot light. The portion of fries waslaughable, yet very sad how few there were. The burger was just ok, definitely not worth the price. We went through thedrive-thru last night since we stopped for gas. We had a long drive still to go and my husband wanted a shake. I only needed adrink. We were informed that shakes were not available. So we ordered two small drinks (coke and rootbeer). The total was over$6 for two extremely small drinks!!! We were tired and didn't feel like going anywhere else, so we paid the $6 and went on ourway, vowing to NEVER go there again. The size of the small drink was much smaller than other fast food places. More like a kidsmeal size. The service was friendly, therefore the 2 stars. It it wasn't for the staff, it would have been one star review. Ifyou have a family, I recommend going somewhere else. You will have to spend a fortune to feed your family. The food is not worththe prices they charge. Read more
Incredibly unhappy with price and service. The prices on display on their drive through sign are not for combos but for just... the burger. Even though it shows the full combo in the picture. We found it quite deceiving when ordering and hearing theprice. Shocked actually. Add another $3.49 or more for small bag of fries and 80cents for a drink. Total to feed 2 adults and4 young children was over $87! Unreal! I can go to a real restaurant and feed our family for less. I can buy two large pizzaswith salad from a pizza restaurant and feed our family of six and have leftovers for lunch the next day for under $40. I wishthat that I could put a zero rating. If I find the receipt, I will post a picture. Not happy with A&W anymore. Read more
We were driving through Norwood on July 8 and we stopped by to get a Nashville hot chicken sandwich and a teen burger with fries... and drinks. The sandwiches were outstanding especially the chicken sandwich. Kudos to your cook and friendly crew!! We will makethis a regular stop. Keep up the good work!! Read more
After much anticipation it is open for business. We ordered breakfast sandwiches and were not disappointed. Very happy that of... all the restaurants to open near us it's one of our favourites. Not too salty and much better than it's closest competitor inHavelock. Read more
The two boys working behind the counter had no clue....I had a piece of cheese stuck to the inside of the bag my burger was in... and none on the burger. They pointed it out and walked away. Gee thanks. Totally unhappy with the price and service at thislocation. Must be very difficult to get good help these days. I will not be back. Read more
