The Madhouse oysters paired with a Narragansett lager was the right decision. I also thought the prices on the oysters were... incredibly fair given the same oysters would cost 2 to 3 times as much the closer you get to Baltimore. Friendly staff and greatseating at the outside bar while watching the Maryland vs. Michigan game made for a perfect Saturday. Read more
Curious Oysters ???? is my top five oyster place to go to . When I’m off , I’ll go have some drinks, green tea shots and... list of oysters to choose from. Alicia was my server she is always good and knows what I want when I come in. She is a goodbartender. Im always stopping by if I’m in the area. I am ashamed in myself for not coming here sooner… 15/10!!! Ordered: Honeygo Hemmingway, Chesapeake 75 Crab dip Fried Chicken... Chesapeake Came late Saturday night around 925, right before kitchen closed at 945. Waitress insisted that we would still getour food at the highest quality, and she wasn’t wrong. We did a sampling of the appetizers and everything was good. The taste was amazing, they use actual crab meat and the dip didn't... have a fishy taste to it, almost as if it were made with cheap tuna. The Tempura was something special, they locked all theflavor into the batter. Our waiter Augusto was very nice and alert. He checked on us frequently and communicated any possibledelays. Excellent service from our waiter jordan. I love the spacious seating here. It's a very clean establishment. The crab cake was... great. Good fries. The bar is a nice place to sit at and it is directly connected to the parent restaurant next door(Wayward's). You can walk freely between the two. Great place to have oysters. Read more
It was great! Had a party of 6 for dinner. Our server was great and attentive. I had the Poke Bowl which was delish! Im pretty... picky so if I like it that says alot. My wife had the shrimp pasta, and i had one shrimp and it was super fresh. In fact, allthe seafood was super fresh. And those Crushers...ooo man. Careful w those, in a good way lol. I ended up having 2 1/2, so paceyourself please! All in all, everyone loved their food. Keep in mind: If you have a large party, a Gratuity is AUTO added to toyour bill. Great experience at Curious Oyster! Everything we ordered was fantastic and unique. Street corn and the oyster po' boy were... delightful. Clean, great location in the town center, and such a friendly staff. Skip the nearby chains you've been to athousand times and go here. Read more
Overall good experience. Joined in the evening around 6pm an made happy hour. Started with the blueberry crush (Very good) and... oysters from the raw bar the amount that we ordered wasn’t the amount that we received but they were able to correct themistake. The oysters were fresh and shocked to perfection which is really good because I am a oyster connoisseur. We startedwith the street corn which was good but I was disappointed that it came out in a whole ear or corn as if eating a whole ear ofcorn is not the nearest thing to do, I then had the Cobb salad with salmon which was absolutely phenomenal the salmon was cookedto perfection medium with a nice crispy skin which is sometimes hard to achieve they mastered it perfectly! Our service wasabsolutely phenomenal she was super kind and sweet had great recommendations and very personable. The bathroom was very cleanand shared with neighboring restaurant. My only concern was that our tab was over $100 so they automatically add gratuity whichwas not listed on the menu, this wasn’t an issue but it just caught us off guard. I’ve been to restaurants where $150automatically adds gratuity but never $100, we still tipped over top of the tip and I do this because when you tip on the cardand it’s added they have to wait to get their tip and also tax is taken out which is why I prefer to tip in cash which theytook that option away from me when they automatically add gratuity. I would definitely come back but I would make sure to splitchecks that way I can tip in cash and that my server can take their money home for the day being a server I understand how thatworks and I would definitely visit again for the happy hour.
