Beautiful decor and a fusion moniker do not make up for terrible service, high prices, mediocre food, and extortionist... policies. We were told to wait 40 minutes in the freezing cold or in their lounge, where drinks were mandatory or wait outsideand freeze. 10 dollars for a small glass of moscato. Our waiter had to be reminded at least twice to bring anything ordered. Nofried noodles ever for the soup and out of crackers. 35 dollars for 3 tough short ribs in a sizzling plate. 13 dollars for 4wings in a take out box with no sauces. Tough to chew. The Hunan eggplant was barely spicy even after a bowl of chili oiladded. The tea was good, lol. An experience that this diner will not repeat. Read more
Excellent food, service, and ambiance!! The meal was superb from beginning to end. Had the brussel sprouts with smoked pork... belly, egg drop soup, and the cashew beef curry. Nothing was less than excellent!! Can't wait for our next visit! Read more
I’m confident China Cafe is one of the best restaurants in metro Detroit. I would love to gatekeep them, but the owner and... team working there are just too good at what they do to gatekeep :). Drinks are always fresh and delicious, entrees andappetizers are made to order- you can always tell a lot of care goes into prep for the day because my experience is thateverything is always flawless. I got the walnut shrimp, one of my favorite Chinese meals. Every walnut was burnt. I guess the flavor of the shrimp was okay.... The long black hair wrapped inside a shrimp really killed it for me though. I am a ginger and my wife's hair is curly andbrown. The food doesn't come with rice which is weird in itself. The vegetables are just steamed, not seasoned at all. Threwthe rest if the meal out. Spring rolls were pretty good though. Read more

Dined on their outdoor patio and despite it being on Novi Rd it had a lovely intimate tropical feel. Food was incredible as... usual and service is a real collaborative effort. Wonderful gem in our community. Read more
