We stayed at this hotel and hoped for a nice meal when we arrived. We wanted to sit at the bar but we’re told the bartender... was stressed and we needed to sit at a table. (The bar had only 3 out of at least 8 seats occupied.). We were then sat at atable and watched at least 4 people walk by us over the next 10 minutes without a simple acknowledgement of our existence, lackof offering even water, let alone trying to get a drink or food order in. After 10 mins of no service we left. Next day, I headdown to grab a quick bite for lunch as I’m working from my hotel room. I went into the area in the marketplace to beet thehost/hostess. I waited 4-5 minutes and not a soul arrived. I saw two tables eating, but no servers, bartenders, host orhostesses, etc were to be seen. I left and grabbed some snacks from the hotel area. Overall it seems this restaurant has astaffing/management problem. I can’t comment on the food as I’ve never had the opportunity to be served. Read more
I visited the Restaurant for the first time on 06/20/2022. I was told it was self seating so I proceeded to my seating. No one... acknowledged my presence. I sat there for 10 minutes listening to staff chatter. A gentleman walks in and was assisted withseating and coffee. Again, I continued to sit and wait. Finally, I proceeded to walk out without any assistance from anyone inthe restaurant . The restaurant was not crowded so I couldn’t understand why I was completely ignored. This was my first timeat this establishment. First impression was last impression. I will happily take my business elsewhere because apparentlythat’s what the establishment wanted. Read more
Nice restaurant next to the Renaissance hotel in Novi. They have breakfast, lunch and dinner. Recommend making reservation... because sometimes they are very busy. Better than average coffee and sausage. Huge wine list. Read more
I had a few meals at Toasted Oak and it is incredible how consistently delicious the food and how consistently great the staff... is. The food is inventive and fresh. From breakfast (try the potatoes!) To lunch (try the Cubano!) To dinner (try the Salmon anda slice of ganace cake!)... The food is outstanding. This coupled with great service makes it one of my favorites. Aaron is anexcellent bartender and you should let him make you something special. Brett is very friendly and makes you feel at home. Food is always very good here, and it was tonight also. Drinks and service we're great and the ambience was very nice to eat and... relax. We really enjoyed our dinner the other night. We ate at the bar and enjoyed the bartenders and tried some new rum basedon the recommendations. Read more
Perfect spot for HAPPY HOUR with your girlfriends. Lovely wine selection and cheese board was so good.. not a huge dinner menu,... tried a couple seafood dishes and portion sizes weren’t huge .. dinner was average but drinks and cheese were so good!! We went here for brunch on a Sunday, just before noon and the place was pretty slow. It was a nice, calm atmosphere with low... lighting and was made cozy by the giant fireplaces on the walls near our table. The menu was great. Lots of options, includingvegetarian, and everything was a little bit on the expensive side. I got the breakfast burger and Green tea. The burger wasgreat, the tea was alright. What got this a 3 star is the fact that our server disappeared for about 30 minutes. We ended uphaving to flag down a busboy to help us find our server. The staff was all very kind, it was just disappointing that our serverwas MIA for so long. That being said, the food and atmosphere were good and I'd give this place a second shot, probably. Had the buffet & it was HORIBLE!! EVERYTHING WAS COLD FRENCH TOAST, EGGS, tasted as if a toddler prepared the food. POTATOES... Were Old & hard. Complained to the manager on duty & she only gave her apologies..& Said she would increase the heat on theburners & possibly sample a plate to see what they can do to improve. The manger came back 10 minutes later & said I wasabsolutely right..The french toast wasn't good. .I had to ask if my bill could be reduced. Read more
