I live out of state and have been having Mamma Mia?s deliver their delicious food to my 100+ year old mother for a while now.... She really enjoys the pizza and looks forward to having it.\nShe has also enjoyed many dinners, salads, subs, and other thingsfrom their menu but recently I ordered her the Chicken Murphy dinner and, although she often forgets things now, made sure totell me how good her dinner was and said ? they always make such good food!\nAnd thank you so much, all of you at Mamma Mia?s,for the peace of mind you provide me! Some of the worse ?Italian? food I?ve ever had as a Sicilian and a retired chef I was embarrassed at what I was given. First of... all it took over an hour and 20 minutes to deliver one town over, second part of my order was missing, third the food was blandand unseasoned the Alfredo tasted like milk thickened with roux and not authentic Alfredo, the rice ball (ordered 2 got only 1)was ok but the sauce was not vodka sauce as described in the menu the sauce I was given tasted like cheap jarred sauce, I didn?tbother with the Cesar salad because I was sick of the disappointment. The jalapeño poppers were decent but were probably storebough frozen kind. The best part of the meal was the bread they give you with the meal and I have a feeling they don?t make thatat the restaurant because it actually was good. Waste of money. Whoever is cooking needs to take a few cooking courses and learnhow to put flavor in food. I fortunately for my tastebuds I won?t be ordering from here again. I don?t suggest you do either. Had the chicken bacon ranch pizza. Showed up nearly an hour late and it still tasted great! People were friendly and it was... a great price. Well done guys. I\'ll be a repeat customer for sure! Read more

Not sure what the definition of a good pizza is these days! Due to internet, many restaurants and pizzerias have incredible... delicious pictures (virtually), but in real world (for those who still live on earth), such places should be closed and sent tothe cloud. Horrible generic pizza, in fact, I don\'t remember when I had such horrible food!! I am bummed that this place hassurvived in Nutley, NJ - a town where many good eateries have shut down over the last 10 years. My recommendations, go to TraderJoe\'s in Nutley and get a good frozen pizza (make your own pie at home) and avoid yourself putting though this \'misery\'called Mamma Mias Pizzeria. Read more

I would like to respond to your input regarding the square grandma pie the other night. I understand if you received a big order... and we?re trying to do what you had to do to fulfill your orders and if that was the case then maybe you should have just toldmy wife it would have been longer. But as I said earlier I must have stood in your place for 10 to 15 minutes. Also like I saidbefore when the gentleman took the pie out of the pan I?m sure he could see it was burnt not well done. We have had your grandmapie in the past and it?s been very good but I?m just saying this time it wasn?t. It would have been better if you had just saidwe screwed up and will make another one. Very good pizza and pasta, will definitely go back (need to try the lunch specials and hot sandwiches)! Overall thought the... service was excellent, very respectful and kind staff. Got the plain pie, the Fettuccine Alfredo and the Ceasar salad. The pastawas cooked really well, nice and aldente. I thought it was a nice touch to give a piece of bread with it, most places don\'t dothat anymore. I liked the pizza, clearly fresh and not floppy (I hate floppy pizza). I thought the crust was nice and airy.Looking forward to trying the hot sandwiches and another combo. Also the prices are extremely reasonable - a great value.Overall, I give Mamma Mias Pizzeria a 4.2 out of 5! Read more

Visited on 05/20/2022\nAs another reviewer mentioned here, the older man at the counter is very rude. He attempts to come off as... the owner, but I\'m sure he\'s not. If I\'m wrong, then wow. He\'s not friendly, not inviting and actually the total opposite. He made me feel like I wasn?t even welcomed. Part of my order was 6 super tiny breaded fried BABY shrimp that I was charged $11bucks; possibly the highest I?ve paid for this same item in other eateries in this area. Left feeling cheated. I also ordered anItalian sub, and asked for extra provolone, and got ONE extra slice. Yes, one. I asked for mayo, oil & vinegar and was assuredby the man it?ll be on the sandwich. I get to my car, and there?s no mayonnaise or dressing on the sandwich; instead they threwtwo small packs of packaged mayo and a small cup of Italian dressing for salads in the bag with my sandwich. Isn?t preparing asandwich one of the easiest things to do when it comes to food preparation? Was it really that difficult to add my condiments onthe sandwich as I asked? The biggest insult was my cost. I got an 8? inch Italian sandwich with little meat, 6 small friedshrimps (baby shrimp) and a soda?.cost? $25.84. Overly expensive for poor service and mediocre food. I wouldn?t recommend thisplace and I?d never return. The rear door was wide opened leading directly into their kitchen with no concern for the easyaccess for bugs, rodents and pest. **note added after response received: those were NOT \"Jumbo shrimps\"....I\'ll do anothersurprise visit and take a picture of those suppose \"jumbo shrimp\" and post them. I\'m sure most will agree they\'re nearlypopcorn shrimp at best. I\'ve never ordered a sub, ever, at any pizzeria or sandwich shop where my mayo/oil/vinegar were put onthe side after I was told they would be on the sandwich. If you need to ventilate the kitchen, get some central air and keep theback door closed. Stop being cheap.....your prices aren\'t. Read more
